Drug decriminalisation, your views.

The biggest worry in my mind would be people operating machinery/vehicles.

Just apply the same law as drinking and driving.

These videos sound funny

"and that there should be a research lead classification of drugs rather than what is on offer now"

I'm all for this. Though it would probably mean the banning of alcohol and tobacco all together if they were included. (Or them being made class A)...

I can see the future, where we have MDMA bars with good ventilation and a safe environment and then places that are frowned upon were people can go for a pint and a smoke.

This will of course never happen because tobacco alone rakes in enough money in tax to pay for the NHS system 7 times over. God know how much is made in tax from alcohol and tobacco. I imagine the whole country is ran on 'drug' money!

Those vids are funny, never taken lsd not sure it would have the same effect with not being able to see. wonder how the effect would differ.

It's completely down to the person, everyone interprets it differently, and I would very much not advise the majority of people to try it. Of the percentage of people out there who have the right mindset for drug use, only a minuscule percentage of them are good to go with LSD.

i wouldn't want to try lsd. Mind altering chemicals aren't really my thing. I only smoked weed when I was younger because of uncontrolled pain. I'm more interested in the mechanisms of action as my main interest subject was neuroscience at uni.

I would have liked to study something like this.

Personally I dont like weed as much as a lot of my mates. Its overrated probably because I get paranoid usually and think too much into things

(proper) MDMA is mind blowing though and something I think everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. I had an almost spiritual experience.

Mescaline from Peyope does sound interesting too, but is very rare. (Supposedly the strongest drug known to man, and natural)

I tried mushrooms (legal when I got them) and didnt rate them much, they were more like weed in that they altered mind and I couldnt 'control' how i was feeling. MDMA I can control everything as it 'clears' your head

I used to smoke a lot more than I do now, as it's more of a Sunday night thing or occasional Tuesday round a mates. But I find it helps my overactive mind think about things a bit more rationally. I tend to over think things in general and always have done miles before I ever had a smoke but find this helps.
Like others have said though, I don't see the problem of a few professionals sitting watching and discussing the election and politics while having a smoke, better than ****ed out your face in town causing police to have to be out in force. Shame the current state doesn't share the same views!
I think it should be legalised and taxed. I have no problem with that as I believe it would help the country and cut out the whole back end of police time/resources and black market/street buying.

For other drugs I would consider them being decriminalised but you have to think that for a party to actually do such a U turn on the "war n drugs" would not happen overnight. I read a great article about basically how the USA and UK agreed a 20yr objective to wipe out drugs in their war on drugs and it evidently isn't working, but to flip and do the opposite could potentially be political suicide also.

I think the effects of said psychoactive substances can vary depending on the mindset of the individual upon ingestion. Anyone who is worried or paranoid should never do take these drugs.

I had psilocybin a few times and the effects change depending on what you are doing. Listen to music the effects are audible, watch something and i get visual distortion and if you are with friends you get abit giddy. No dangers really.

I was speaking to a police sargeant last week and he said picking mushrooms wasn't illegal aslong as you ate them straight away. :D :D

By a long way!

this! plus its 100% natural , exists already inside every one of us , has been used for 1000s of years and documented in history

yet its the most illegal substance on the planet

and this thread needs some links to that guy spending 20+ years in prison for manufacturing LSD in the uk. the bulger killers got less time... huntley could too... im not usually one for conspiracies but i genuinly think these things are made so illegal for more than just ''because you could go mentally ill''
