Adobe CS5 - Released for Download today!

Not really impressed with the content aware stuff, I could just be doing it wrong though. :(

Me neither, but ditto.

I keep seeing people saying this but from my useage of it I've found it to be a very powerful and time saving tool. I wonder if people are expecting too much from it and expecting it to create perfect images immediately.

I've had great results from it, some of which has surprised me and been virtually perfect, others have been a brilliant starting point for additional manual clone stamping that has taken out a huge amount of time needed for a fully manual piece of cloning etc.

From my playing with it, I think it is something that takes a bit of practice to get the technique down and to realise when you need to use it on sections of the item you are trying to remove etc one at a time rather than the whole thing at once.

I also think people are seeing it/hoping it is the perfect tool for item removal etc rather than seeing it as just another tool that the skilled photoshop user can call upon when the situation is right for it. I am certain there will be a great many times when it would just be simpler to grab the clone stamp and do things manually but there will also be times when it will prove to be a huge time saver!

Will start it before I leave for the wedding tomorrow :p

Does anyone know what proof is needed for buying the student/teacher licence when in the capacity of Staff at an educational establishment?

I work in a secondary school in an IT Support role and when I purchased CS4 through the educational store all I sent was a PDF containing a letter from my line manager stating that i was an employee along with a copy of my staff ID badge.

I assume that it is the same for CS5.

Now, that would be nice and simple, thanks for letting me know.
