Just coming through the village of Weston Turville on my way home about midday and on the other side of the road I spotted a Ferrari. Then another one, then another... there was a long convoy of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, more Ferraris, etc etc. A supercar cavalcade!
Traffic was quite slow both ways so I had time to wind the window down and say hello to a couple of geezers in an open top Ferrari, intending to ask what it was all in aid of. Instead the driver said, 'Wow, fantastic car, what is it?'
I told him it's a Toyota*, I joked about did he want to swap, we parted company. That kind of made me smile all the way home

I found out just now it's Supercar Weekend or something at Silverstone and that must have been where they were going to or coming from. A couple of the lead cars did have big Silverstone sunstrips.
*my Toyota Will, that is. Not a supercar by any means but does get a lot of looks.
