Gordon Brown Tonight

If Cameron get's in he will cut what money we have in Northern Ireland (very little). What *****s me off is so many people don't want direct rule in this country, yet they are happy to take the benefits. Cameron will wreck Northern Ireland so I hope he doesn't get in. We are a small part of the UK and that Toff seems intent on cutting us off. If that cvnt get's in then im outta here !

I didn't say he had any, much like lazer46. I don't think you'll find me anywhere either support or justify what Gordon Brown said. I don't even support Labour, which is besides the point really. Accusations like lazer46 made without supporting evidence are unfounded and ignorant.

"Accusations like "Gordon Brown" made (against previously labour supporting people) without supporting evidence are unfounded and ignorant."

And we have a winner. I'm not intending to criticise anyone at all, I just find people seemingly defending the indefensable ridiculous.

Who are you supposed to be quoting there? It certainly isn't me. You strike me as someone who has missed the point entirely as opposed to a winner. I have never defended Gordon Brown. My original point, which seems to have gone right over your head, is that lazer46 didn't provide any evidence to support his statement.

I would have more respect for him, well I might have found a sliver somewhere ...if he had said "yes I called her a biggot, because really I am trying to pretend the problem doesn't exist and by branding her a biggot it draws attention away from the crux of her argument"

So where are you going to go, the Republic of Ireland ? ...I think you'ed actually be worse off there right now.

Northern Ireland is too reliant on the state sector, what it really needs is more private investment, more companies moving there and private sector job stimulation.

This could be done for all of the UK by lowering corporation taxes for one. Perhaps giving incentives or further tax breaks to companies who are willing to setup shop in the areas they are most needed.

Northern Ireland is a tiny part of the UK economy, something like 2-3% I believe yet the state spending there is disproportionate to the economic value. It isn't just Northern Ireland by any means that this applies to but you brought it up so I'll address that one.

At what point do you think the diehard new labour supporters will abandon him, there only so much a people can take.

Try to remember the point of the thread, I simply tried to get us back on track to a bit of Gordon bashing ;)
 
i don't blame brown for lying, he obviously feels it's the better choice for his party (which is wrong but that's the nations fault not his) so i having to act that way. if he could be honest i'm sure he would be. thought he is doing well against paxman, standing up better against him then the others imo
 
I'm disgusted , Gordon Brown was heckled by someone today and he was man handled out!!.. Instead of dealing with the guy's issues he was thrown out

The only place Gordon and his Cronies go to are Staged labour party areas , that shopping center? yep all staged. So far only Nick or Cam have delt with hecklers

I hate this man :(

You realise that all the parties try and stage their meetings with the public? It isn't just Labour.
