Does Eddy the caretaker still work there?
He hated us...

Cracking location that though - though it is quite expensive...

Seems to be a new caretaker this year who is pretty sound. He turns a blind eye to anything as long as it isn't annoying any other flats too much. Aye it's getting ridiculous pricewise. It's around £100 a week each and for a decent two man flat in the merchant city you could be paying £600 a month -which is hopefully what I'll be doing next year. Save us about £100 a month each.

this is my Desk in my flat:

that's four computers btw - one desktop per screen and the two laptops. happily, the 2nd desktop was only there because i was fixing it, and now both screens are connected to my main PC.

Glad I've finally moved out of halls. I had a weird mould problem in my room and it stank. we had cleaners come round every wednesday and rage about the house not being tidy and overall it was nowhere near as good as living in a rented house this year :D

Best thing about my first year accommodation was that it was owned by the uni but off campus so we didn't have people round checking everything was ok all the time :D

I guess I am pretty tidy after all! Here at home it's quite a mess, but I don't have space for most my stuff so it's inevitable. When I go to Uni in September I'll have a bigger room than here (shock horror! Well, it is a shared house, not halls) and far less stuff to take. I couldn't leave cans and things around, it'd annoy me seeing them there :o

I'll be 23 soon after starting, probably a good thing I'll be moving in with people also around that age :)

No. The fact you think you do. You're the sort of loser that posts up photos of their OMG SO CRAZY flat on to facebook, stacks beer cans in their room etc., as some sort of badge of honour/proof. That is pathetic and laughable in itself, but the fact that I would be willing to bet you spend your nights drinking in your flat then going to some terrible student night just makes it even more so. Trust me, you will look back on this thread and cringe at just how cool you thought you were.

:D

Are you here all weekend?

So you are telling ME i THINK i'm having a good time at uni? :D

I was stacking cans in my room back home way before i even got to uni, was i looking for a badge then too?

And yea i will look back at this and probably laugh at it all but thats the whole point you miserable arse.

Feel sorry for you, well i dno, you seem pretty perfect.

Get over yourself. Plenty people manage to go to Uni, get a very good education, and enjoy themselves at the same time. Just because people enjoy themselves in a different way to you doesn't make them wrong - you make yourself sound just really really boring and right up yourself.

No no, we don't.

My goal is to get a 1st, but that would be impossible, right? Beer wall and a messy flat, damn.

Aye, he's only 21 and turned into a 40 year old man.

Stacking empties is slightly sad mind, unless you're saving up to make a beerchair or something. Or a fort! In which case, fair play to your sir, you must drink more.

Dangerous did that a year or two ago didn't he? Was inspired to do it but i don't live with any lads and my pals live at other accomo :(

I do it with bottles of beer/whisky. Although that's really because I like the look of nice bottles of beer/whisky. Only one of each type mind.

Someone said to me there's two types of graduates at uni.

Those who enjoy themselves and are actually clever, and get that 2:1 or a 1st.
And those who don't, those who work very hard but barely scrape a piece of paper.

Now my flat mate who isn't enjoying Uni seems to spend a lot of nights in working, where as i, who loves being here, spend about 2 days before deadline doing the work. Handing it on in time, and cruising a 60% mark, yes i know thats not a 1st :p But non of first year counts towards your degree.
Haven't asked her about her grades, maybe her course has a bigger workload. But mine is heavily based on field reports and essays, lots of book research too.

edit: if someone picks up that i said i was in second year earlier and ive just said first year. It's because i changed degrees, i used to do computers (did at college) but absolutely despised it, came across a lot of people like MotherMayI. Changed course to environmental sciences and I'm loving it.

I used to do that to remind me of good nights I've had.

However my room is tiny, I didn't have enough room to fit them in. Can't wait til uni, should have some more space! Room for a desk so I can get a desktop again, that'd be god tier. Especially seeing as my laptops being held together by ducktape at the moment.

Lol. I bet what you imagine me to be is wildly different from what I am. The fact that because I'm laughing at you that you assume I must be some sort of stay at home computer geek is further proof as to how clueless you are.

Can you tell us what you ARE then? Because you are coming across as a miserable university lad whos not getting any.

And yes, i am clueless? You know why? Cause i don't even know you lmao. But you seem to know me very well, which is weird.

Not at all. I just know people like you. I tend to avoid them.

I go out a lot, although generally to parties/free parties these days though unless theres a specific club night on I want to go to. I'm far from a locked in e-recluse - I just can't stand annoying kids who buy in to the student cliche, let alone annoying kids that buy in to the student cliche then try and brag about it online. The sort of people who think Oceania and Carnage are what going out and having fun is all about. No thanks. Still, I'm sure theres people who can't stand those who are like me.. So it all balances out :p
