hey guys, after almost 3 years of having my conroe PC I am finally able to upgrade!

got around 800 quid to spend!

i need it for intense gaming and hd streaming/transcoding! so a powerhouse!

I already have a PSU, case, and a samsung F3 hard drive!

also dont need any peripherals/monitor

Would also love it to be compatiable with my 3d monitor!

so yea! help a nearly 18 year old brother out!

thanks

ive actually forgotten the psu make but its a 650 watt top psu make! so I hope that is enough?

and oh yea sorry I do not need windows 7!

Also, what is you current case and do you already have the Nvidia 3D vision kit? (assuming you are wanting to make use of you minitor for 3D)

If it is a good brand PSU like seasonic, Corsair or Antec you will be fine. Would you be able to dig it out and check the make/model so we can verify it is a good one?

the 3d kit would be gotten seperately so that wouldnt be included in the price!

does ATI not support 3d yet? ive not been around much in the PC scene lately but ive heard ati is superior atm?

ill go check it now :)

enermax eg701ax-ve is the PSU!

also about the 3D part! if the cost of getting a 3d compatiable gfx card outweighs the benefits of getting like a much better non 3d card then id rather get the non 3d card!

You did say around £800. This is what I would buy.

£549.99

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

£318.99

what about that? or is there better value for money?

4 gigs of ram isnt going to cut it i dont think, also want to futureproof it as much as poss!

AMD roadmap shows the AM3 system lasting along time.

I actually like papalazaru suggestion with the cheaper ram.

Its closer to your budget.

Has six cores for your encoding speed.

Will chuck huge frame rates out.

Awesome motherboard.

ahh how about the 5870 then? is that the best card out there for the price?

i think ill stick to that bundle as it seems a beast!
