Interested in any games which have good career mode? Playing some of SH4 at the moment where you can get medals and promotion but its tough going.
Also not sure if my game is a bit bugged as ive done 3 missions all with exact same objectives lol (toyko shipping)

I'd prefer maybe a flight sim (any era).

I remember the old days flying the F19 Stealth on the c64 i think. After finishing one really successful mission (mission dont finish till you land :) ) landed on a aircraft carrier. Game starts to load (cassettes!) and the debrief screen comes up...ive been awarded the Congressional Medal! :D woot!

Probbly my favourite career sim was WINGS flying as a ww1 pilot.

But anyway any game with good career mode, dont have to be flight sim (as i dont have a joystick)

Just Cause 2 - Although I feel that is not what your after I thought would recommend it anyway as the SP campaign is one of the most fun I have ever played.

Not really worked myself through the campaign as currently im just messing around on it :P But its obvious to tell what the campaign would involve so

This ^^^ ;)

You can also have automated trading ships in your empire with the fan-made addons ;)

isnt x3 one of those games that you end up being a micro-manager of stations, fleets etc...

You can rise from a fighter pilot to commanding your own death armada*

isnt that after probably 100 hours of mind-numbing tedium? :D

.....besides i'd already decided that for my space sim kicks i would try out Evochron. Aint room or time for two space games. But that is freeform..dont think i can earn medals and promotions in that :p

off to get a JOY-stick today in antication of whatever flight sim (wi career mode) i get.

I dont get this TRACK- IR business though. You move your head and it simulates you moving you looking around the cockpit right? Well thats no much good coz if you move head left then you're looking left and not at the monitor screen....

You get promotions and medals in X-Wing, TIE Fighter and X-Wing Alliance if you don't mind the Star Wars thing. Only problem is you need a joystick for those. :(

you adjust the sensitivity of it :p

say you move your head 10 degrees in real life your in game head could move say 50 degrees.

like you don't move your mouse a foot and a half to scroll across your screen :p

have a look at some of the arma2 helicopter videos with track ir.

they can look through the floor windows etc as they come into land :p

For dynamic campaigns, taking it back to the old school, allways found enjoyment in enemy engaged, the old hele sim.

Simple to play without the 4000 page flight book:)

yeah, I enjoyed EECH too... been thinking about trying the 2nd one myself lately

Star wars starfighter has a relatively pleasing SP progression and is a blast while it lasts. There's also secondary objectives and medals to collect to unlock bonuses. It's a little old and crude, but works with a joystick or pad very well.
