GigaWorks T40 series 2

Yes, I found that too with my T6100's, plenty of treble and overbearing bass, but nothing in between. It felt to me like the speakers and the sub were not of the same system. That's the problem with cheap 5.1 PC speakers. The T20's and 40's will sound a lot better, they will have a much better balance to the sound overall, but obviously they will lack the bass of the 5.1 set. By your comment, you are looking for a better sound quality, and not just something that will hand out bucket loads of bass. If you are willing to sacrifice surround sound, the T20's and 40's might be a good purchase.

Well had time to try the speakers out properly and am impressed. You can hear much of the detail in my FLAC rips and I am sure they would sound even better if fed from even a half decent soundcard as opposed to the onboard I use.
Plenty of bass for my uses as well, surprisingly so in fact. The car engines in Dirt 2 sounded particularly grunty.

Really changed my mind about 2.0 PC speakers, which I have found to be pretty awful in the past. Obviously there are better solutions out there (external DACs / Stereo Amps / Bookshelf speakers) but for the money & ease of use I am very pleased.

The T20's are next on my list to buy. I must say though, I was in a store last week where they had the Creative Inspire T10's on demo. For the price I was very impressed.

Got a set of t40 series II's on the way to replace my series one T20's which developed a fault. Hoping these are just as good.

+1 for the T20 (Series one)

Mine still going strong, so if the T40's are half as good, you'll be fine matey :D
