Ok so I've spent a good few hours trying to find some sort of co-op game that me and my girlfriend can play either across the net or with a LAN configuration, with almost no luck. The reason I'm looking for one is, as good as the bowling Jigsaw games on MSN are, I can see them driving me insane one day :)

Now she does actually play Runescape (and she'd kill me if she knew I was telling the internet this) and she also plays COD on her brother's PS3 occasionally, but I'm not too keen on RS and her laptop isn't up to the job of running something like COD. Though I've never played it, I'd always heard good things about Viva Pinata, but unfortunately (afaik) there's no multiplayer available with the PC version. I was also looking at Torchlight but from what I gather, the multiplayer mod for it hasn't been finished yet.

Basically I'm looking for a game that isn't totally centred around combat. I tried showing her Flyff once but I got the feeling she found it was like RS but with just the fighting element. I would introduce her to Eve but that isn't exactly a game you can just jump into, as I'm sure anyone who's played it will agree. I actually went as far as to consider X3: TC but again I don't think that has any sort of multiplayer mod.

If anyone has any ideas, any at all, I'm open to suggestions. If I don't find something soon bad things will happen :D

Lol glad to hear I'm not the only person who's been in this situation, did you find one that you both liked? :) I'll take a look at that link as well as fiesta, cheers.

I also remember playing Free Realms a while back but I think it was in beta stages then so it was a bit janky. I guess I'll have to take a look too.

I know you said you don't want it completely based around combat but maybe try her on Serious Sam? pretty sure that would run ok on just about any laptop.

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. I'll try her on Diablo 2 when I get the chance as I suspect she'll quite like the loot hoarding aspect. I'll get the Trine demo off Steam again and see what she thinks, and I happen to have the first L4D so I'll try her on that, but she's usually put off by anything remotely scary lol. I would try Serious Sam but to be honest, I don't think I'd really enjoy that, so I'd be back where I started if we started playing that together :) I'm still open to any other suggestions, if anyone has any.
