***Official Halo Reach Beta Thread***

Thanks to Boomerang I probably won't be getting ODST until Wednesday.

Posted a game back to them on Thursday morning and they only got it yesterday and still haven't posted anything out yet. ODST is at the top of the list and its set to "Balanced" so it should normally be a 1 day turn around, but its looking like it will be tomorrow until its posted unless they are off.
 
If it makes you feel better I can almost guarantee you the beta will fail to run on its first and maybe even second day for ODST owners due to the sheer numbers of users involved.
 
How bad was the start of the Halo 3 beta? I can't remember really. I think it was delayed but not because everyone was trying to get on it, just Bungie delaying it.
 
Yea i'd imagine it will be pretty packed out.

Just not overly impressed with Boomerangs service atm. Lovefilm weren't this slow for turnarounds and always registered my returns as received the day after I posted them, guess it could just be a one off. Bit still.

the halo 3 beta was cocked up because of crackdown, something went wrong with it and it needed it title update.
 
Do I just need the ODST disk in? ATM only offering me a video and my housemate has preloaded it though I can find it no where to preload so wonder if he lies...

For ODST owners in the UK (like me) looks like the Beta will not go live until around 8pm tonight. The rough time Bungie are giving is midday PDT, although thats not a definite time apparently.
That sucks cause I'm working tonight from 9pm. :(

Edit: Sorry, just read "late morning PDT" on Bungie website so it might be a little bit earlier than 8pm. *crosses fingers*

Well wasn't on an hour ago when I logged in, wish they would hurry up!
 
Still just coming up with the video download at the moment, going to leave the xbox on through the day lol, can keep an eye on it to see if anything appears.

it will be around 6pm, we already covered it earlier in the thread.
 
When its open, you fire up your main ODST Campaign disk, take the optioin for the Reach Beta, download the 1.2gb of game code, then you will be able to access the beta through and only through the option on the ODST disc.

Beta is said to be open around morning US time so dont expect it any earlier then early evening UK Time (18:00 to 19:00)

Signed up to Lovefilm as well lol. Was going to go with them instead of Boomerang, but had problems signing up, which are fixed now.

Hopefully Boomerang or Lovefilm will post ODST out today or tomorrow. Either way, Boomerang is getting cancelled and im sticking with Lovefilm. Disappointed really because of all the recommendations for Boomerang, service seems very slow compared to Lovefilm for the same type of package.

Im sure Boomerang is great with the priority thing though, but I can't really afford anymore than £9.99 a month.
