ive just overclocked my i7 to 4.2ghz

voltage is 1.29

i thought this was pretty good and was wondering if it could be better
i know all chips are diffrent so im just looking a comparision...

my temps dont go above 66c 20 runs IBT and 2hours Prime 95...

can i confirm something before we talk about volatges, when people say mine does 4ghz at say 1.3 vcore do they mean they set 1.3 in the bios or that what say cpuz shows under load on say prime which one should we be going by?

Temps seem pretty good, what cooling do you have?

1.2815 is set is in bios.

cpu-z is reporting it as 1.272 idle and 1.28-1.288 under load.

so why r my volts dropping under prime 95 just checked with IBT same thing voltage drops

do you have LLC enabled? Even if you do it's normal for the volts to drop a little under heavy load.

Load line calibration - yes - A setting in the bios.

another thing i may have to check is vdroop....o that is LLc..lol...sorted volts are 1.248 constant

VCore - 1.28750V
with
Dynamic VCore (DVID) - +1.4375V

So I get a nice drop when CPU is not being worked

Any screenshots with running Core Temp, Real Temp & CPUID while stressing or right after stress test?

1.317v in cpu-z 1.35v in bios but temps dont go above 61 on IBT
