My missus will bring home any old stray ...

Amazing what a bath (or 2) and an hour of clipping can do...

She's got a water infection, she'll pee within 5 minutes of having a drink, but she understands this and tries to run out to the training mat we've put down in the porch.
Having to leave the lights on around the house, so we can see the reflections on the floor if she doesn't make it ...

VERY people based, been starved of attention while she was on the run. Plays with our 2, plays with the kids, tries to climb into my lap.

Happy puppy (or adult, no way of knowing!)

Very very nice of you and your missus. You won't want to give it away now, Westie's are awesome dogs :)

Thats a lovely looking dog that. Hats off to your Wife for her kind heartedness.

I was on the motorway a while back and some ******* abandoned a dog right there on the busy dual carriageway he just shoved it out of his car.

Cruelty to animals makes my blood boil.

Have a look at it's teeth. You'll be able to tell the difference between adult teeth and puppy teeth .

Gave that one a try, she's still a bit nervous about being handled to closely. Happy to sit on my lap, not so keen for me to examine her teeth.

I'll use the traditional method of examining delicate tissue, get her drunk ;)

Please make this a fairy tale ending from such a tragic story. From your posts its obvious you have bonded with the little westie.:)

Been watching this thread and must echo the statements of others. You two are a testiment to animal lovers. Your Mrs is a lovely lady for picking up that dog and wanting to care for it given the state it was in, as are you. (Not a lovely lady, just a nice bloke).

The transformation from the mangey dog in the first pictures to the ones posted above is shocking. She scrubs up very well!

I suppose you have to get her to the vet to see if she has been chipped and to get her a full bill of health? What is your plan for looking after her, sorting her a new home?

Awww looking forward to how this story develops. How's your other dog getting on with her?
*hopes you keep her too* :p

The following is a purely hypothetical situation.

A person stops off to buy 2 cans of coke nearby to where a stray dog may or may not have been found. There may be a poster in the window. The shop keeper may say it was brought in by a group of kids this afternoon.

It might be asking for information about a missing dog, "a straggly looking westie" which got out YESTERDAY....

Just hypothetically, what would you do?
