9800GTX+, worth it to SLI with a GTS250?

Firstly I have an SLI mobo and I know I need to get the same shader clock for it to function in SLI.

I also have the problem of there not being a MM in Hong Kong where I live. I tried to flog it at a computer center and they were gonna give me next to nothing for the card. Fair enough.

So, do I bin the card and get a new one or would it be worth it to SLI. I think both cards in SLI get around a GTX285. I want to play BFBC2 and MW2 @ 1920x1080 with 4xAA/16AF.

Currently I can play that resolution but with everything turned off. The GTS250 is around 60 quid here brand new.

I've wanted a 5850 since it came out, but have been looking to get rid of my 9800GTX+ with little success.

Looks like it will end up being a paperweight. :(
 
sell it international on fleabay, if the 9800gtx+ goes for peanuts in hong kong.

You could probably use it as a Physx card alongside the 5850, but I think you need to do some soft-modding or something in order for it to work with a ATI card. May be someone with better knowledge in this area can help you...
 
Yeah but he was going to throw the car into the bin anyway ;)

And there is Metro 2033 as well....................
