Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

yup i'm gonna go cry now.

Cheers for the games guys

GGs with you and Artheas. Artheas definetely the best out of the three of us but at least I got a perfect against him :p

Don't feel bad about losing to Dan, I have had a little practice with him. Balrog is still my main. Bison is getting good too and I really like Juri.

Aye, Artheas is a beast. It's annoying though inputs and timings seem different on this version. So many times fb's are coming out as dp's instead. I can't seem to link clk clk clk tiger knee fa cancel uppercut anymore as sagat. Can't get the first three links :@

GGs. I think that's like, the 4th or 5th perfect i've had against me already in Super :(

Dan isn't so terrible now with his new Ultra.
I thought it was funny in the Dan vs Ryu match where Dan fires out his Ultra 2 and Ryu fires out his Super, both while pretty close to each other. Made me think of Dragonball Z.

Isn't clk clk clp uppercut cancel f+rh more damage?

I hear that Sagats now use clk clk clp tiger knee instead of uppercut because of the nerfed uppercut damage

I'm finding it pretty difficult atm playing with Gouken on a fightstick. Because he uses DP motions for 4 of his moves i keep finding myself randomly jumping in the middle of a combo or doing his hurricane kick instead of his low parry move...so annoying losing to people you know you could beat with a pad :(

Completely differently?? Slight exageration there, he was having trouble with ryu so try ken , some things click more with one then the other.:o

Not really tbh, they really are utterly different in how you should play them. Ok they both have fireballs and DPs, but other than that, completely different. You may as well be saying Sagat is worth trying as he too has fireballs and an uppercut move.

Tbh i'd say sagat was more similar in play style to ryu than ken!

I was like that once, you will get over it. There will always be things that are harder to do on a stick than a pad but eventually, after some practice, the advantages of a stick shine through and they are so much more satisfying.

i am still better at certain things with the controller than stick (lol). anything related to movement i find easier on the pad, im much faster and more accurate.

however anything related to buttons: links, karas, demons, plinking etc. im much better on the joystick

I find my execution has increased on the pad, even though I don't use pad anymore. Sometimes when at mates or cousins when we play, and they only have pads I still play but I rarely if ever miss a FADC offline with the pad. I remember before when I couldn't use a stick, it was 50-50 on the pad, missing more then landing though.

Your Akuma has improved massively since we last played. I still think Artheas's is slightly better but you are getting there. I can't really judge how good your Ibuki is yet, when I have an idea how to play against her I will let you know. :p V nice combo's with her though.

Rainiac's T.Hawk is causing me some problems. :(

I'm off to bed now, til next time! ggs.

ggs mate.

you got your basics down pretty good, nothing execution heavy but solid footsies, FA's and tick throws. my main problem is my defense is pretty bad in general

I finally get this tomorrow online as I get my new 360, I am going to be playing Dudley a lot and decided to not dumb down my game.

I am hoping I will be able to do Dudleys one frame 3x cr.rh juggle in the corner consistently by using the animation to guide me. (even online)

Gonna play Dudley pretty consistently but I have been trying some Juri feng shui combos that I am interested in using in some matches. :)

does anyone find t.hawk very annoying and his grab seems to have extreme range and damage?

anyway i hope i get my copy tomorrow and i think i will take up makoto as my new character, even i am crap at rush down and attacking mind games.

i was trying the chun li trials today at my friend's. although i completed all of her trials, i find the timing of her new ultra after ex legs very strange, or maybe its just i am too used to the old one, or maybe its just the useless ps3 pads.

I think this is half my problem tbh. I'm using old combo's without spending a lot of time in training to figure out the new stuff. I don't even think Akuma's clk clp hp lhk hsrk works anymore. That was pretty much my bnb combo

ggs to all played over the bank holiday weekend.
Glad to see all the ocuk lot back online playing streetfighter - haven't seen this many online since back in the day.

Thats what the grapplers are all about :D
I've not tested or anything but it feels like his range might be slighter longer then giefs.

Guile FK FADC into Sonic Hurricane can be done, but I need to try it.
There are some youtube videos of it.
If I can nail this, it would be awesome :)

from what i tried yesterday, his grab does have more range than zangeif's, plus t.hawk is a lot more mobile and actually has a anti-air

Would people mind just giving a taster of what bnb combos they use for their mains? I just dont get how to work out combos without just falling over them - some tips at what you are using would be appreciated...

ps3ud0
