Time for us to move on with our lives.....

would you have asked her to marry you if she hadn't lost the timber?

hey, i'm only asking
I don’t know… It was mentioned a little while ago that she was losing weight for me, but I felt she needed to lose it for her health…

It’s a question I can’t fully answer, I met her at a size 12, she ballooned after steroids to treat a shattered foot that hadn’t healed correctly, even doctors recommended weight loss after the steroid treatments were completed… It was a complicated issue, I don’t think it was the size that bothered me the most, it was the attitude she developed regarding it that irked me and many others…

I’ll quote what she told me a few months back.. “forget about the past, its done its over it wasn’t good. Lets just move on and look to the future”.

I think that’s a rather healthy quote, so it’ll do for me. Anyhow, I stuck by her. Many would have left her during her bad times, whereas I didn’t…

Congrats - nice to hear some good news for a bit. I know from experience that things can change very quickly in life and circumstances often make things difficult but good that you have come through it together. Well done.

Great news and congratulations to you and your families. Having been through a similar situation, I know how difficult it must have been for you all and you're right to be looking forward now and not back.

Just remember to stay friends before anything else and you can't go too wrong.

yay a nice story to end the day.

It's the hard times that make the good times all the more sweeter...

:D

Well done, when I saw the title was 'Time for us to move on with our lives..... ' I thought it would be another broken up with partner thread.

Good luck

Thanks all.... Just got confirmation her engagement ring will be ready for collection next week, it needed to be reduced in size, as the one she chose was too large for her finger.

You could see she was disappointed not to be walking out the shop with it on her finger.... Bless her. Sadly, jewellers cannot resize rings whilst you wait. Lol

To be fair there was one ring that did fit her finger in one jewellers, however it wasn’t as good as the one she saw that didn’t fit… and even though it was only £150 I said its better to wait and have the ring you really wanted, then accept something just because its something you can have now…

Damn, talked myself into shelling out an extra £170.. My big mouth. lol

:D Yeah actually not the best choice of topic title..... lol Oh well, makes it even better to read if anyone is pessimistic about what is about to be read..

So, basically...you decided to finally marry her because she's not a fat psycho anymore. Congrats. :p.

Nah she’ll always be a psycho, however she’s only been fat once in her life. Now she’s just curvy and average sized… lol

All joking, its fairly obvious we’re not ever going to split no matter what we do, other then cheating, and I trust her completely that she’d never do this and she is actually a very warm and good hearted lass. She just got so messed up after she busted her feet after being in a car accident, that all the good in her was lost for a short time. Its not as if she liked being that person anyway.

She is a very protective and stubborn girl, and I’m not very easy going at times either. We’re made for each other… always was, always will be. Anyhow, I was daft enough to ask, and she was daft enough to say yes. So it’s a 50/50 blame on this one. lol

Good luck and if you've battled this far you'll battle on through the rest of it - I hope she feels lucky to have you, you've seen her through some rough times where lesser men would have bailed. :)

Congratulations!

You'll love the cruise, i went on one aorund the Med when i was just 12 and it was fantastic even then!
