Hi Guys

The wife is complaining of hissing and line noise when at home making a call on her BB curve, I changed the router last week as the "Be There" 585v7 was pants and now have a Netgear D834Gv4 which is rock solid with 3rd party firmware I have to say :)

Is this a none issue as I can find nothing over a crackberry on it? Thinking maybe her handset is faulty?

Or could be just a network fault??...best to ring up the network and see what they say...it could very well be a faulty handset.

Does it only happen at home??...also is there any rattling coming from the handset??

It does only happen at home but that said she only connects to our wifi no others, rattling? As in if I shake the handset you mean?

Thanks

She's using UMA?? ie using the wifi to make calls??...could be the router then...maybe try connecting your old router and see if it still has interference...if it does then it could be a problem with router or wifi network.

Other than that i dont know as i dont use UMA...im on tmobile myself.

Hi mate

No I turned that off before to stop the noise, which works but as the "Be" router was so poor I put in a netgear and that seems to have brought the issue back although I don't see why, will swap and test again ;)
