Don't know if this has been posted already, but I was directed to this for a laugh and it's awesome fun!

Online is a bit wack due to horrendous rubber-banding that makes seeing where you're going pretty tough in the beginning of races, but it's bearable. Definately worth it for free though :D

Glad you enjoy the game but its been free for ages :)

You can also limit the number of opponent cars on screen in the advanced options section before you launch.

press o or p i think, one of the 2 <-----------in game

one of my best games of all time
i have had to turn off the comp after very very frustrating races tho :eek:
 
I bought TrackMaina Sunrise yonks ago. When i play it always updates it to Trackmaina United. Is that how its suppost to work?
Is Forvever only F1 cars?
 
I used to run a bunch of server for it - 3x 32 players :D busy all day long, its only laggy if the host is rubbish (loads of people hosting on poor home connections).

Great little game but I got bored of it after awhile.

TMNF is the free version, stadium/F1 cars only. (nations forever)
TMUF contains all track/vehicle styles, and you can still play stadium with the free players. (united forever)

Yeh it's been free for a couple of years IIRC.
 
That will be trackmania united plus trackmania forever united.

Trackmania United was/is a full standalone game trackmania forever united is a free add on pack if you owned trackmania united, if you get my drift..
 
I just got back into this. I own United but the rank is shared between the two games (virtually all online games are Stadium, and rightly so, it's by far and away the best game style) and I just broke back under 15,000th in the world. A far cry from the 5000th~ I once was but not a bad jump from the 180k I sat at when I started again last week :D come plaayy with me, username is grodecki.

There's certainly no rubber banding in play in this game, online is time trial based!

Always play with opponents off, it's what the pros do ;)

Sorry not at my main pc but if you go to advanced option, there should then be some tabs (graphics option/sound/compatibility etc etc), select game options and there will be a tick box you can select and then manually enter the limit.
 
I got seriously hooked on this a while back. Probably the only online game I've played that I was naturally good at and could actually win.

If only I was half as good at CSS. About a thousand years later and I still struggle to get any rounds off before I'm shot to hell by someone.
 
Just brought my rank down to about 13,000. Should be hitting sub 10k in the next few days :)

Playing on a server full of 1000-20000 ranks gives you many points for wins and top 5s!
 
IIRC got rank down to lower 3000s before I quit, I was quite good at the game but always just a few ms short of the really good players.

Still remember this one time when I had some of the best players at the time playing on one of my servers trying to break a record on one map, was getting a pretty decent time myself... and then my brother who'd never played before jumped on and beat the best time by 150ms... one of the few times I've actually been lost for words. Was purely beginners luck tho.

Currently around 3600 - Had it below 2000 before but load it up the next day and its back above 3000. Too be honest the rank system isn't a proper indication of skill.
