just wondering if anyone has reviewed any of these yet as have been looking at the 850w Modular jobbie

Cheers

Ben

PSU's are pretty critical, you should never buy someting like that without knowing that it's good and stable, and that means reviews and comparisons.

I am very tempted to go for an Antec TruePower New Modular 650W Power Supply, however why does it have so many hardwired cables, I thought it was modular?

What is the best unit Antec or ??? I ask as I have had an Antec fail in the past.

The psu in the OP's post would not have enough SATA powers to power all my drives.

Then again i have a budget ******s 700W jobbie to see me over until I can afford the corsair extreme bundle...

the unit itself is a Powercool

according to their charts, the 12v rails are 34A each which isnt bad

One of my friends has just bought one of these, didnt realise, he has got a watercooled i5, twin 4890's and 8800GT on it along with HDD's etc, supposedly it is regularly pulling 800w happily for him and the system is stable at over 4ghz....

will try get some more info from him.

Just ordered 2 units

For my main system (see sig below) I have ordered a
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-650TXUK) £80.99

For my second system Opteron 146 based I have ordered a
Corsair CX 400W ATX Power Supply (CMPSU-400CXUK) £40.98

Thought £40.98 was a bit of a bargain.

Mind you I still fancy one of Overclockers own, however not brave enough to try. We just nee some feed back / test results !!!
