CS5 PP - Mercury Playback Support. Have you got a GTX 200+/GTX400+?

I am trying to get hold of a GTX285 and a Q9550 second hand but there are none about :(
Maybe a GTX275 OC would do?

I would still be tempted to keep an eye out for a 285 just incase Adobe try and block this workaround, as it's obviously not the hardware preventing it working on anything less than a 285.

A GTX275 is plenty for the MPE.
The rig I'm running this on is doing a very admirable job of coping with everything I've tried using MPE. AVCHD is still a bugger, but you'd need one of those top end Mac Pro's with 16 cores and 32GB of RAM to get everything running "perfectly"

The system I'm running on:

Q6600 @ 3GHz
8Gb Ram @ 1GHz
GTX275 (no OC)

Edit: In a month or two they'll have tested and worked out a patch to get almost all CUDA enabled cards working properly with this. It seems a bit ridiculous to prevent users with nearly as powerful cards getting nothing out of this amazing technology!

There is a 285 in MM but not willing to pay that much at this early stage.

Adobe will offer support for the GTX 480 in Q3 so I'm going to wait until then!

I did see the GTX in MM way to much for me. But you have got me thinking the same, hold off till we know what will or wont work.

They probably will work but since I can't use any of my filters/effects in Pr I can't use it as an editing package. As this is 64bit there isn’t a lot out there just yet so I will have to be patient and just wait: o
