Luther

I saw this earlier, I liked it. It seemed to be be shot a bit like a feature film, in a similar way to many US drama's. Great to see some decent quality UK drama.

I had it on in the background as I wasn't really interested, but by the end I'd stopped working and was watching every moment.

He did come across as a bit of a tool on the JR show, he's a great actor though.

As for Luther, it was pretty good for a UK drama (that's really not saying much obviously) and I'll watch the next one I think. It was a bit unrealistic though, the crazy woman was pretty silly and overacted to say the least.

She was hot though, I found myself wondering if it would be wise to have it off with someone so adept at committing homicide ;)

Catching up with the first two episodes on BBC iPlayer.

First episode is, well, watchable, I enjoyed the character Luther and the other characters.

Just found it all a bit over the top and unrealistic, but then again a "normal boring" case wouldn't be so interesting on the screen.

I was quite looking forward to this and although i enjoyed it, really, it's just another generic police drama.

It's a bit generic and predictable, but I'm still enjoying it too.

Only reason I'm watching it is because Idris Elba is in it though, loved him in The Wire.

I've watched the first two episodes and feel a bit undecided about it at the moment. I think with the exception of the wife and crazy woman, the supporting cast is rather weak. Don't really buy the relationship between luther and the crazy woman either. He seems to randomly ignore the fact that she killed 2 people the other week. :/ Will continue watching for now though...

Watched the first two and got ep 3 waiting on the pvr. It's pretty good, but it's overwritten and overacted in parts. And seriously - I'm getting fed up of cops not being able to hold down relationships. Maverick divorced cop - what original characterisation.

The first episode I thought was a bit weak, the second episode was good and the third episode even better. Following that through, episode six should be the best thing ever shown on TV anywhere, ever. Ever.

Finally caught up on all the episodes and really enjoying it apart from the fact he's best buddies with the girl who killed her parents, surely even he draws a line somewhere...
