Alan Wake European Release Date Shifts

The Eurogamer review is quite hard on the storytelling as it goes...

Still, the graphics look amazing and the combat looks good, so I think I'll pick it up, but I might wait for second hand.

Looking at the graphics, the lighting seems to bring what it was supposed to in Doom 3.

Apparently the tearing is quite bad in it to, if there's one thing that really bugs me in games it's tearing, I'll probably still get it though :p
 
A 9 from IGN means it will be a pretty decent game, Eurogamer are often harsh for no real reason so I wouldn't let that worry you too much :p

Will be interesting to see the Gamespot review, as they tend to be the most critical I've found, but also tend to get a fairer review out.

Still, doing ok so far!
 
Its a good game, nothing ground breaking, some of the gameplay gets repetitive but the production is outstanding.Needs to be played on a 5.1 system badly though.If you have ever watched twink peaks then youll know the vibe its going for.
 
I'll be interested to see what 1up say. Eurogamer and 1up are the two I rely on.

EDIT: B+ from 1up, which is about 70-80% on their scale.

Graphically looks great. Seems the story is the part being marked down. Will give it a rent.

Just goes to show that resolution isn't everything. The game is at 540p, but still looks awesome.

Can you say, honey-pot? You realise it's not actually been leaked but Microsoft has released it (notice it's always Microsoft published games?) laced with code to catch the pirates :D

That would be awesome IMO if they had a way to do that even without them being connected to Xbox Live.

Hadn't the developers rubbished those claims that it ran below 720p and it actually does run in HD?

Don't think they confirmed or denied that it was 540p. I have read around that it runs at 540p with AA.

The developers said the used various frame buffers or something. Eurogamer has a bit on it.
 
5 days to go!!

can't wait, i've been waiting 5 years for this to come out and its almost here :D

my pre order for the limited edition changed to being processed on sunday, hopefully will get it by thursday as i usually do with all other games.
 
I got the Limited Edition today, the packaging is really nice as it's done like a hard back book. I've been playing it since this afternoon and loving it.. i've heard it was fairly short game so I'm taking my time wondering around and looking every where.

It has a really good atmosphere and I'm enjoying the story, don't think you'll be disappointed.
