Best large capacity (60Gb+) non-Apple MP3 player

I can't stand Apple's iPoo and my loyal creative Zen Vision:M has just decided its got Harddisk problems. Any good suggestions?

various reviewers point to the Zune HD, but since its not really available to the UK I've been looking about (plus I'm not sure it falls under my 60Gb+ rule)...

Any help would be much appreciated.
Sound quality is what we're going for too.
 
I'm in the exactly same boat as you mate. I too have a Zen Vision: M (30GB) and it's been brilliant, but I just need more space.

I've been looking at the Archos range, who have 250GB models now I think :o
They are bigger than the average MP3 player, but they're VERY good. Might be worth looking at. I've never really looked at the Zune's, I'll have a butchers in a minute.

the zune players are nice, I just wish that the ZuneHD came in a 64GB variety, or the creative zen:xfi 2 came in a 64GB aswell. Its a shame that Apple have the iPoo Touch 6GB and other companies are still lagging... meanwhile I'm still without an MP3 player!
 
Zunes are fab! And theyre compatible with xbox's which is a bit of fun. I got mine for £110 off ebay when they were first released. Limited edition pink one! It was such a steal. It lasted me a good few years before i dropped it from a table at college onto a concrete floor (doh!) the screen broke but it was still usable! they've got massive screens too and have amazing video play back :).
 
I'd just get an Ipod, I know "everyone" has one, but they are really quite good, iTunes is easy and quick to use as well.

I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th Ipod now, and I have my iphone bus still carry my ipod for music.

Edit, a pink Zune? :o

Its not that "Everyone has one so I don't" its that I don't like Apple's software, or the fact that their sound quality in comparison to other companies has been lacking.

Any more suggestions?

Have you tried the current ipods with decent headphones? imo, there isn't much in sound quality between them all.

Apple's software works fine, it's quick, easy and clean :)
 
Can't recommend the Cowon range of MP3 players highly enough. What I love is the line input which enables recording from various audio sources. Sound quality is ace also :) Great bit of kit.
 
It doesn't quite meet your size requirements, but the Sony X-Series is beautiful, sounds brilliant and it has built in noise cancellation which has to be tried on a flight to be fully appreciated. I love mine!
 
Anyone got any good suggestions here, I'm still looking and although ZuneHDs now come in a tasty 64GB size, I'm still hesitant because of the fact that they aren't very UK friendly. Really tired of not having an MP3 player now... the cowon s9 looks good, but i hear word of a replacement on its way? any thoughts?

Have to stop you there, it's far from clean, it pummels your pc with crap!
 
I've still not managed to get a new player and its killing me. The Zune HD comes in a 64GB variety now, but there's something about it I'm still not sold on...

Has anyone got any new suggestions?
