Car-lover buried under one-ton granite carving ... of a BMW

Wow, that pretty cool! One hell of a send off! Suppose its a bit like that chinese emperor who was burried with the Terracotta Army. The comments at the end from the managers made me laugh! Its a cemetary, i think its nice when people go to this extreme to honor the dead.

Is this the opposite to a ***** wedding?

Sure its a great gesture but I have to agree, it will get trashed and won't look like that in too long :( If it helps the grief then I'm all for it though :)

Well I think that just about takes the prize for the tackiest thing I've ever seen. I'd come back and haunt anyone who buried me under a car, how utterly embarrassing.

WGAF what others think.

None of your business mate, just open the gate, let them in. Go home at the end of the day and STFU!

A gatekeeper at the cemetery, who did not wish to be named, said: 'I was very surprised they were allowed to have it. They certainly wouldn't allow that at City of London cemetery.
'I said to the manager, "people are going to want all sorts now". I wouldn't be surprised if the next thing people are asking for is a bus. I think it's possible it could be targeted by vandals.'

What is it with anything that is not the norm is immediately assumed a bad thing.

Guy is being remembered for something he showed passion in.

But no I would not worry about the next person e.g. a bus driver whos family would spend more than £50k getting one carved as I suspect they would not be able to afford one.

But re getting vandalised that's your job as 'gate keeper' to ensure it does not ;) or is he owning up he is not very good at his job?

Awww that's quite sweet. I hope they manage to keep it looking nice. Not something you see everyday in a bone yard is it.

Reading the title I thought the Granite BWM was the killer, always said they were a bit on the heavy side.

But an un-diagnosed heart condidtion... RIP Fox.

1) If that is the great man's monument I'd hope they got the graining on the interior leather right, otherwise there'll be trouble.

2) you know the car review cliche that goes, this car has such solid build quality it gives the feeling that it's carved from granite...

You're dead so you wouldn't really care? I think it's horrendsley tacky but people will think of him in years to come as they bury others and not many people can say that. Parking ticket too, lolz.
