For those that didnt know, both me and the other half have changed jobs so we're now better off on the old cash flow front. I've never really enjoyed the volvo so i'm currently saving with a view to changing next year. So this is just window shopping for the moment.

How much would a nice E90 be with professional nav, bluetooth, xenons, full leather etc.. be ?

You got rid of that vectra VXR because it was costing too much to run right?

Buy it back :D

been there, done that.

Looking for something different.

And the money thing isnt an issue anymore. I'm working 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rota at the minute and the other half has changed jobs as well so our financial situation is totally different.

s that private ? i'm used to buying from main dealers and there are only a handfull on BMW AUC for under 18k.

You're maybe getting a main dealer supplied E9x in a year because you've been on a new rota for 2 seconds and it's solved your financial ills?

In all honesty, this sounds a little farfetched a discussion right now.

I have no confidence in my car buying abilities.

That and my parents always bought from main dealers. My dad was crap with cars, hence why he bought not 2, not 3 but 4 Mazda 6s (or 626 as they were in the old days) in a row - not changed the model of his car since i was about 7. And prior to that they had mazda 323s lol.

But they were all bought from main dealers so its all ive ever known really. The volvo was the first car i bought from a non main dealer.

With time on your side it looks like now is the perfect chance to learn, and save yourself thousands in the process.

My parents have always bought from main dealers. I however am not in the financial position to do so, but have a much better knowledge of the car market, and access to a huge amount of information (I.e. Internet forums) than them to know I can do much better buying elsewhere.

Surely you must realise that by looking elsewhere you can save yourself thousands when buying a car like this?

Have you seen our new 24/7 rota? You will be falling asleep at the wheel and wrapping it around a lamppost, so might as well buy a Fiesta.

Why are you bothering to ask now when you know that the price will be totally different in a years time

More then you can afford, pal.

Ferrari!

I'm not trying to be judgemental, but shouldn't you save something up before upgrading the car... just in case the job thing doesn't work out?

*ahem*

James showed me what the rota would probably look like and tbh im not too bothered by it. You chopping in the S2K for a fiesta then ? ;)

its usefull for getting an idea if something is going to be possible. No point thinking about a car which is minimum 20k + like the 335 M sport, which isnt going to suddenly drop to 11/12 grand in the next 12 months.

Alternatively just keep saving and see how much money you have in a years time, then think about what car you would like. No point thinking about these things when so much can happen in a year.
