Best mate got his done abroad about 6 years ago and he was about -7 in both eyes. His have been fine.
Laser eye surgery doesn't last. It has an expectance of around 10 years. Eyes keep changing shape as you get older. Lack of elastisticity, and muscle degeneration.
The one thing he said and still sticks in my mind is the number of doctors etc who wear specs. If it was such a risk free operation........
Who was your surgeon? Was it a guy called Usama/Osama?
Optical Express WILL give you a complementary pair of glasses if you've had laser treatment and require them after the procedure.
Edit: Le Petit Lapin, they laser the surface of the eye. It doesn't go "into" the eye. "Something going horribly wrong" is a common misconception. But when one person says it, and then another, then eventually it becomes believable and made up stories start to crop up.
Although admitidly the older tech of the 60s did cause quite a few problems. Which is why that tech is no longer used.![]()

If you scuba dive, some of the training you do involves opening your eyes under water without your mask on, which cannot be done if you're wearing contacts (unless it's an emergency of course!).
