hi all,i purchased a hdmi lead (10m) for my 32"lg tv to watch movies on via my pc.

i have a his radeon 5770 and when i connected the hdmi lead into my lg tv there is a grain affect on it ?

not sure what is causing this or if there is any setting im not using, picture is fine and audio but it's just this grain affect that is there on everything i put through the lg.

It's almost certainly the cable, over a distance like 10m you want one that's a little better than your standard £2 one.

http://www.thatcable.com/acatalog/HDMI_cables.html < I find these to be great for a good price.

Edit: Before anyone starts with digital signal blah blah, he is using it over a large distance which can adversely affect the image due to numerous factors.

Thanks for that link. They look like very decent cables for the price. I bought a very cheap 3m HDMI cable from the bay to link my pc to my tv but sometimes my tv does not recognise that my pc is connected until i reboot. I borrowed a better cable from a friend and it connects every time now.

yeh, thanks for the link, the cable came from the bay at a cost of £7 lol.

ill look into getting a better cable now.

i did think it was to long but thought i would try it first.

has anyone got one of those cable's to lend me for a few days.

i want to try the lead before i spend £20 and if it is the lead and not my card.
