Best PSU for 480 SLI

Hi Guys

Am getting my gtx 480's soon, just wondering if i need to change my PSU, I currently have a Corsair 1000w PSU do I need a better one, am also getting the Asus Rampage Extreme 3 When it is in stock.

Please advise on the PSU

Are you going to be using your o/ced 920 with the sli configuration?

Can't guarantee it's credibility but here it states around a 700w power usage: http://www.*****.net/content/item.php?item=23132&page=10

It doesn't use an o/ced cpu in the power draw equation, so you'd probably want to add another 100w onto that.

1000w should be able to cut it, as long as it's a good quality piece of kit, which I believe the corsairs to be.

If you are really looking to be safe then a 1200w might be your safest option.
 
I agree at least 1000 watt, two of those things draw more power then a Stargate (Stargate fan..). Seriously from what I have seen those two cards will draw lots and lots of power.

For about the same price as the Corsair 1000W you can get the Be Quiet! 1200W. I also find the Be Quiet! PSU's well more quiet XD
