No but they get switched off for long periods on holiday, so what’s the problem.

I probably could live without it. I do use my BlackBerry a lot though.. 3000+ texts a month, only about 100 miutes, a lot of facebook, blackberry messenger and e-mail use also though.

Mate at work doesn't have one, to be honest if he isn't at home he's at work and I know where both are. Really not THAT big a problem to get hold of him if needed.

Me though, I feel lost if I can't check / update twitter,bookface, OCUK, email, google etc on the fly.
Then there are the useful apps...
Mind bendingly useful device I wouldn't want to be without now.

This. My GF makes it rather unlikely though, she's texted throughout everyday we haven't spent together since we first started speaking! Over 1.5 years ago! I dare not think how much £ that's amounted to.

It's handy to keep on you though, incase of breakdowns etc.

I can still remmber landline numbers for some of my mates i used to ring back in the days of the late 20th century when mobiles were £150 for bricky non color screen models and calls were 55p a minute

I have one but it rarely gets used. Cant take it to work and cant be bothered to speak to anyone in the week as Im too knackered from work. I use skype for most of my calling now.

Bricked my iphone last night playing with the os4 beta, Took me an hour and half to fix, i wasn't going out until i had it working. Got 10txts after I had fixxed it, couldn't live without it.

One day i left it at home, and was lost until i got to work, and used my work phone instead!.

I couldn't give mine up. I don't use it a lot but I refuse to drive without a phone in the car for emergencies.
