Japan's Forest of Death.

Thanks for the kind messages guys! Does anyone know any high traffic sites where I can link future articles to get some exposure? I'm trying out Digg and Reddit at the moment.

Nice article and pics - I enjoyed it - thanks :)

I've heard about the place, its sad and intrigueing at the same time. I think it was mentioned when they were looking for that freak who killed that british girl and left her in a bath full of sand in his apartment.

I think they thought he had topped himself in that forest and may never be found, however they've found him since.

Thanks for looking. It's interesting that some people have praised the style and syntax and yet other choose to criticise it.

I've finally managed to get something worthwile published on the net and, being excited I thought I'd post it here for anyone that's interested:

Anyone been brave enough to visit?

I enjoyed your work, and I believe you're entitled to a little poetic indulgence due to the nature of your subject. However, you frequently cross the line into hyperbole, which unnecessary and does you no favours. Cut out the flowery language and you'll have a great article here.

:)

You can't please everyone :p

I would love to visit there one day, if only flights to Japan were less expensive

How about OcUK?

I enjoyed the article. That forest is a place I wanted to visit when I went to Mt. Fuji but unfortunately I didn't have time. I think the reason you have mixed comments on your writing style in the article is because it's very verbose and it uses complex sentence structures. It's a factual article but in places, sounds more like a novel. It makes it a more difficult read than what is seen in most journalism, but it does add imagery and drama to the piece. You just need to consider who your intended audience is, as not everyone will like that style.

Also, I am not necessarily saying it's wrong but I think there are a few maybe questionable pieces of grammar. I only mention it because if you want to write in such complex English, it's important to get the grammar right.

Bookmarked. I'll visit next time we are over there, looks really interesting. Was planning to explore Shikoku but will find time for this.
