Not got a mobile ?

I could survive without a mobile, payphones/ landline. I text quite a bit, i'd say about 500, 1000 on a month where i'm bored, I am quite a heavy user for calls though, use all 1200 minutes on my phone every month.

It is nice to have one though, probably much cheaper than using payphones and such as well.

I was late for work yesterday morning, as i got half way there realised Had left my phone at home and went back to get it.

With how busy I have been recently I realise just how much I need it, buying a house, and organising a move has so far involved a lot of phone calls.

Also Since I split up with my ex I can start adding as malc30 Put It "Pasty" Contacts on the phone!

I know people that don't have mobiles, however they are all over 60 so just don't get on with technology.

I could easily live without one though, it's used less and less for actually making calls now.

I've had a mobile for ten years, but I hardly use it: excluding one long and expensive call from abroad, the total spend on calls is about £20 for the whole of that time. I have the thing so people can contact me, usually related to work.

You bought a new iPhone, when the new one is due out in less than a month?

Ruh roh :(

I've got two. An iPhone 3G 16GB, provided for and paid for by work, including personal use.

I've also got a personal contract (taken before I started this job), which I rarely even switch on, let alone use.

I couldn't live without a mobile phone, and whilst I don't pay for it, I use it perhaps slightly more than is natural :p

on o2 at a uber silly price !
i think not,
anyway when the next 4.0 os comes out with jailbreak and unlock this current ( not working iphone ) will work once more and sell for 250+

I think it's quite sad that so many of us are glued to and feel naked without our phones. I have a mobile but don't use it much. I'm on Pay As You Go with o2, unlimited texts for £10 a month, but often I'll still have £6-8 on my phone after a month...

However, recently I sold my phone before a night out (I was poor and wanted beer), met loads of nice girls out in Shoreditch and had to explain why I had to give them my number instead of take theirs. :D

Funny thing is although I can spend under a tenner a year on PAYG I keep looking at IPhone deals.
I love my IPOD Touch which I use for running (Nikeplus), watching videos at dinnertime, music obviously and I also love maps and navigation stuff.
Link that with a phone which can also get me internet and I'm laughing.
I'm looking at a Tesco deal which costs £35 a month and the IPhone costs about £250 upfront but it's mine after 12 months and then I can go on their £20/month contract unless somebody has go ta better suggestion.

I got by 40 odd years without one, don't see why I couldn't do another 40.

I just have a basic Nokia. I can't and won't do texts, have no need for internet on it, wouldn't use it to listen to music, don't have a facebook, no desire for games etc.

Mobiles never really struck a chord with me. The 19 year old sales assistant in Carphone Warehouse just couldn't understand that all I wanted was a basic PAYG phone for emergencies and perhaps a bit of convenience. My phone lasts about 2 weeks on the battery given my use.

I have a phone but I so rarely use it that there's barely any point in it.

It tends to spend 50% of it's time powerless and the other 50% behind the couch so nobody can contact me anyways.
