Just voted, slight ripoff warning ..

Thanks for the heads up on this, when I went to vote last night there were two old geezers sat just inside the door asking people for their polling numbers, I took one look at the guys labour rosette and told him politely no!!

Cheeky buggers, and yes the majority of peeps just said oh ok there you go.....Doh!
 
Well, I 'fell for it' although I realised straight away what he was doing, just hadn't had time to think about it before hand.

Personally I don't much care though. It's not as if I don't get enough junk mail already, and I was actually a bit disappointed I didn't have anyone come round for good brow-beating this election :)
 
Haha we didn't have of these people in Salford, the polling station was in lower broughton :p

Nobody would dare sit outside broughton for a few hours

They wont send any junk mail. i've never given any info out and i get tonnes of junk mail from all parties

I was asked for my polling card at the door, the old dear looked very taken aback when I politely declined, I felt a little guilty. :(
 
Ha yeah I had an old boy outside asking for my number but I didn't give it to him as I didn't actually know what mine was, didn't take the polling card with me.
