HTC Hero, coming July on Orange and T-Mobile, makes me want!

I just get 2 out of villain but wifi and data always on. Suppose the apps use it quite regular.
i am happy to charge my phone though as it charges when i'm out in the car too so you dont notice it but you do notice how much quicker it is TBH
 
Villainrom 5.3 is more than capable of lasting a full day, and probably more if left purely as a phone.

11 hours overnight without a charge took the battery life on mine from about 60% to 40%. For this, setcpu was set for 160mhz on sleep, and juicedefender was set to leave the APN off except for 5 minutes in 30. Things like weather, gmail and seesmic are on, but they're on long intervals.

For standby mode this is acceptable. Heavy use will murder the battery on mine though.
 
Hi guys, bit of a random question, I bought my Hero from mobiles.co.uk with an Orange contact.

Am I right in thinking that my Hero will be unlocked? It has no Orange branding anywhere on the phone, I don't have a different sim to try in it unfortunately.

ooo me likes. anyone know how good the charging version is? i'm not sure what to think when it says "You need to connect the charging device to the device manually each time you put the device in the holder". does this mean the phone wont slot into the charge position and i'll need to use both hands to make sure they align correctly? seems naff if true
 
^^ possibly on best buy by the 7th, more important though, someone on villianrom.co.uk has got dual booting to work :cool: im feeling brave but dont have a working wifi conection on ubuntu to follow the guide :(
