Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Add me if you have a headset and I'll teach you some more.

i got you in my friend list K. i am back to the basics at the moment, learning how to get back to where i were when i was with a pad with a stick. my offensive mix-up is a lot slower now and my defense at best is non existent (struggling to even do ex sbk to get people off me!)!

Just got this....

Nothing in there for the hardcore Street Fighter players who want frame data, strategies etc, but a fantastic little book for geeks like me who are into the history of it all.
I've been playing SF2 since I was 11 in the local shopping centre and have always been a computer game geek, quite into Mame, built my own sticks, love collecting classic retro games that I grew up with and really got me into gaming in the first place etc, so this has really appealed to me.
It's not about the fictional history of the characters/tournaments etc, it's a real history of the games themselves.
There's also loads of fantastic artwork, much of which I've not seen before.

If you're as old and geeky as I am, you'll love it :D

Ooh noice.
Btw what games you collect?
Also does this book have any artwork?

Anything you think you could teach me?

I highly doubt it, you're probably the best player on OcUK out of the online crowd. You know all the fundamentals, traps, set up and combo's so the only thing I could help with is adapting your game to offline play.

What would that involve? I'm actually considering going to the Ranking Battles in my area once they start. I thought that it would be pretty much the same as online since i rarely do any combos with difficult timing - except that i can see/hear my opponents inputs (eg dp mashing).

Overhead/throw/focus abuse simply doesn't work, you can never walk up throw someone and they can respond to mix-ups and shenanigans a lot better.

If your game relies a lot on those then you need to cut it out.

It's a very different game offline.

1 - mp, it's better than chp in a lot of situations
2 - no, you can see the counter hit pop up and no 2 hit combo pop up
3 - pay for it
