The time is nearly on us as tomorrow we collect my wife's new MX-5 Sport Tech Coupe, which I have to say I am quite looking forward too. It was delivered to the dealers on Friday from Mazda land on the back of a trailer and has been taxed and PDI'd ready for our collection in the morning. We will hand them the keys to the S-Line A4, which will be a good car (if boring) for someone and unlike my RS4 hasn't missed a beat in 3 years and simply eats miles sipping hardly any juice. Will try and get some pictures up if I can be bothered, as I know you lot like to see pictures but quite looking forward to getting the little thing now.

I'm sure you'll have some summer fun in it.

Looking forward to hearing about your mx5 racing escapades too.

My Mum's got a Mk3 Mx-5 and its ace. I think Mazda are STILL shipping the cars with the wrong geometry settings however so make sure you get that checked as it makes a massive difference.

Took my MK3 2.0 Sport to a track day at Silverstone and had a right hoot.

I had it lowered and a decent "fast road" geometry setup applied.

Through the corners it was a superb car for sliding and catching, slightly underpowered against exiges etc, but more than holding it's own in the curves.

This is a Mk3.5, the revised facelift model with the geo sorted, but we shall be getting it checked and probably lowered too fairly quickly.

You probably already know that its cheaper and less of an insurance hassle if you get the dealer to lower it before collection...we found out the hard way lol

I'm not going to rely on the dealer, I plan to get it done by a specialist with geo and corner weighting etc. ;)

Shhhh, dont tell Howard, he might become Jelous ;) :D
Nah, mine's faster :D

Unless its pink, with fluffy upholstery, has a native GHD holder, and is filled with muscular young men with loose morals, you have nothing to worry about ;)

Oh who am I kidding, he's right :o
;)

Good choice Housey, looking forward to pics :)

The geo was all sorted on the facelift models. The non-sports still ride pretty high though

This is the Sport Tech, it runs lower and sits on Bilsteins as standard. We will get it, run it in and then take a view on some subtle tweaks, nothing OTT. Getting Audi washed as I type then oop norf to collect it!

Not great pics as from my phone but very pleased with the car, lovely little thing.

Look forward to hearing what it's like on day-to-day basis we have a Mk-2 in the family and might get one of these in the future.

Do you have a thing for silver cars? :p
