The BiG World Project aims to merge all games of the Baldur's Gate series and the additional contents created by its community in one massive adventure, including a modification of BG1 to run BG1 with the more modern engine of BG2, plus the added functionality of ToB expansion. Now all new functions which are introduced only with BG2 are also available for BG1. This signifies, BG1 uses just like BG2 the same graphic arts, the same character kits, the same magic and the same rules. Now even for those which know BG1 by heart this is a new play experience. Besides, it also includes an additional transition from BG1 to BG2

Haven't tried it yet but could be useful for BG players

So is this like an alternative to Easy Tutu in terms of merging BG1 and 2 and various fixes, but with options to add extra mods at the same time?

You're a bad, bad person for posting this... I'm about 45% through a 'standard' install, after around an hour and a half. This install *lots* of mods. I'm excited :D

The gen biffing at the end takes forever, expect an install to last at least 4 hours, I always do it when I go to bed.

Expect some problems however, you may have to dig out Near Infinity and fix a few issue's now and again depending on the mods you install.

Ah the memories. I had the tutu mod installed like 4-5 years back. havent played it since

Was epic taking my puny level 1 monk in BG1 through to the end of throne of bhaal where he was a one man army

good times

When you install this, do you HAVE to install it to c:\programs files\... ? Or can you install it to say D:\games\... ,will it bugger up the mods? WIndows 7 btw.

The installation guide recommends that you install to C:\games\..., which I did, but before BiG World Setup downloads all the mods, it does give you the opportunity to specify your installation directory. I would assume that it should be fine, but I can't guarantee it ;)

Oooo.

Been contemplating a full playthrough for a while... never did play BG1 and ToSC, the second one is probly my favourite game ever though.

Would people recommend 'tactics' or 'recommended' installs?

Oh, and will this run at 2560x1600? :p

Is this worth it for people who've played using Tutu recently? I did a full playthrough of Tutu modded BG1/ToSC>BG2>ToB around a year ago.

Maybe I'll wait another year or two then give this a go :p

For the love of god don't try to run at that res, I have a 1900 X 1200 monitor, and I run at 1440 x 900, otherwise everything is waaay to small to see, and you'll strain your eyes.

I'd do the recommended first, then try a tactics install afterwards. Tactics installs have way more bugs, but are more rewarding in the end.
