I'd have to attach myself to that cable like that one guy in the video was doing, but yeah I'd do it easily if I knew I was attached.

One can latch onto a modern steel safety-wire to keep from falling, though it can't hold much weight.
A cable runs the length of the path, giving people a method of securing themselves throughout the duration of the path. However, the stability of the cable is unknown. It would be wise to have space (more than 10 meters) between travelers. That way, if a section breaks, the cable will only be holding the weight of one person.
Does anyone esle ever feel the urge to throw themselves off of high things. Eg I was walking over the Forth Road Bridge about a year ago and felt reallt tempted to take a run and leap over the barrier. The same goes for the railing on the 3rd floor hallway at my work. It's not a suicidal feeling at all, just a 'go for it' feeling.
