Walk of death, would you do it?

think the thing with people wanting to jump is something to do with primal man /trees monkeys cant remember :)

I'd have to attach myself to that cable like that one guy in the video was doing, but yeah I'd do it easily if I knew I was attached.

I get very sweaty palms and start shaking ever so slightly when faced with great heights so nope, I wouldn't do it.
Well maybe if I could take my keyboard with me to make me a bit tougher I might try it!

not really.

I'd like to do the walk at some point, very slowly mind. The mind boggles as to how the walkway was built originally, they must have had some very brave/crazy workmen!

That cable is (I think) as old as the path itself. I wouldn't want to rely on it.

Know what you mean. I'd worry that if you trip and went off the edge, the cable and potentially other walkers would come along with you.

Wow - chinese teahouse path looks more scarier to me than the spanish walkway tbh. Would love to do it sometime :D

Id do it but id need a harness to use with the cable and 4 or 5 changes of pants :p

One can latch onto a modern steel safety-wire to keep from falling, though it can't hold much weight.

A cable runs the length of the path, giving people a method of securing themselves throughout the duration of the path. However, the stability of the cable is unknown. It would be wise to have space (more than 10 meters) between travelers. That way, if a section breaks, the cable will only be holding the weight of one person.

Does anyone esle ever feel the urge to throw themselves off of high things. Eg I was walking over the Forth Road Bridge about a year ago and felt reallt tempted to take a run and leap over the barrier. The same goes for the railing on the 3rd floor hallway at my work. It's not a suicidal feeling at all, just a 'go for it' feeling.

I was thinking...
"If I jumped, could I jump far enough to miss the rocks and land in the river.

Woo Yay.

(and yes I realise it wouldn't make any difference from that height :D)

this is actually an extremely common phenomenon

Anyone know what the Phenomenon is called?
Sounds pretty interesting tbh!

I recovered my granddads summer house roof the other day, must be like 8ft high, I was crapping my self the whole time. So, no, I couldn't\wouldn't do that in a million million years.
