just a heads up guys this game is seriously dropping in price fast from specific online retailers; why the sudden price drop? wasn't the game released a few months back.

o can y guys also help me here, im lookin to hunt the limited edition ff13 ps3 that was released in japan. its not in stock the places ive checked so im hoping you guys could pm me links to other sites i dont know about. ;D

As for the reason it's so cheap, it's probably because Final Fantasy games are pretty well known for selling most of their copies immediately after release. Sales tend to slow down pretty fast after that.

Yeah i saw it for £17.99, cant bring myself to get into a full on game though, so bought dj for £40 which saved me £60!

Games these days drop in price so fast it always apys to wait. I snapped up FF13 for £18 and also got bayonetta for 12.75 and lips 80's with mics for £15. Crap games drop even quicker of course.. console gaming is cheaper than its ever been :)

yea, i coudnt really get into it compared to ff7,8,9,x. Maybe its the new young blood at square enix, the ones we know and loved are retiring

Got bad reviews and rightly so, I'm about 30hrs in have put it down and not played it since release.

i sunk about 25 hours into this and just gave up playing, wasnt enough in it to hold my interest, however for that price i would pick it up, i however paid full price and am disapointed

I'd wager it's also partly because, for a final fantasy game, it's a bit pap :p

i'd have to agree so far, its the only FF i've played where i haven't seen it through from start to finish without touching any other in between.

not saying that i won't finish it but not the standard i was expecting from final fantasy :(

im in the 'got it on release put xx hours into it and never finished it' catagory

its not a bad game but after being do linear upto chapter 11 then having all that freedom only to then have to go back to the corridors to continue the game is putting me off going back to it.

also the fact ive just started uncharted 2 (had it a few months just never started it properly) and picked up COD WaW on payday so ive got other things to keep me occupied also.

if you havent played it though its well worth it for the price, the best fighting system on a FF game.

im hoping FFXIV is an improvement as im looking forward to a good console mmorpg

Got to agree there. Even 'big' games drop in price really fast. When I got Batman AA for £25 off ebay, I thought I had a bargain but in no time pretty much everywhere was selling it for £17.99 I even saw it for £15.99. Recently I've seen COD:MW2, Assassins Creed 2 and Uncharted 2 for £17.99 each, God of War 3 for £24.95 and that's without really looking.

As a Final Fantasy game and with the gameplay design & direction they were taking, it is quite disappointing and lacklustre compared to previous titles, especially with the majority of the first half being a massive tutorial, but I still think it's a good game. Otherwise I wouldn't have wasted 120+ hours of my life playing it. The battle system is really fun once it is completely unlocked and still is a beautiful looking game. At least we have still Versus to look forward to in the future.

I jus feel so let down by it tbh, i dunno since the ps3 came out the primary reason i bought it was for ff, each e3 or press event id jump with joy with a new trailer or some news, eagerly awaiting its release. shoulda seen the signs from ff12 though, it did disappoint.

one day though theyl get it right again

Exactly the same with me. Every FF game I've ever played, I've played through from start to finish without playing anything else. They've always hooked me like that.

FFXIII however, I'm about 25-30 hours in, and haven't touched it in weeks now. Will have to drag myself back to it at some point. It's the biggest gaming disappointment for me in years.
