Have just come back from visiting my nieces (aged 4 & 6). They have recently been given a big box of Lego and Lego technics. I spent much of yesterday playing Lego with their Dad (Aged 33) and their other unkle (Aged 22) (I'm 27), and the two little girls didn't get much of a look in, lol. Does anyone else of an 'adult' age love Lego a little bit too much? I am seriously tempted to reclaim my lego collection from my parent's attic. Also looking on the Lego website there is some really cool stuff that wasn't available when I was a kid. I think I need a son so I have an excuse. :D

LEGO is the best toy ever invented.....end of.

It costs so much because the quality control is so good (and if you buy the cheapo non-LEGO plastic bricks you will see why)

I started to buy my son lego last Xmas and we have both had hours of fun with the stuff - especially when you spend hours building something only to break it up and build a better thing.... then re-build the original.

I'm the same age as you Khan and still love it, when my old folks were moving house last year they asked me to keep a few boxes at mine until they had sorted out space, a few of those boxes contained my lego from when i was a little un. Rest assured those boxes were soon dragged into the lounge for me to have a play with.

Have just seen a space shuttle on gizmodo that i realllllllllly want to buy!

On the subject of Lego - has anyone been to the new Lego Discovery centre at the Trafford Centre, Manchester (here) yet?

I'm tempted to take the kids (my excuse :D) but don't want it to be a waste of time.

I am always making lego stuff with the boys. You just need to look on their web site for plans etc, grab your bricks and away you go. Smallest son (5 years old) is now the proud owner of the Atlantis set and it's been great fun putting that lot together.

Personally, I covet that space shuttle one, especially as we watch it go over our house most nights. (21:05 tonight, clouds permitting)

I broke all my old Lego out when I was at my parents house over the summer. Was awesome fun playing with it all, I rigged up a motor to a Tecnics car and made a remote control car that I then proceeded to drive around the house irritating people.

Loved playing with my lego, still have it boxed up in the garage.

Grab box tip lego on the floor and let your imagination take over :D

One advantage to having kids, I get to buy lego and sit and build some great stuff.... and if the kids behave they can play too ;)

Loved it when I was a kid, glad it's still about.... just bloody expensive now:(

Did someone say "Lego"? :D

My habit is well documented on here. Got an older shuttle which is slightly larger than that one but doesn't have the boosters or anything as well as the technic one which is awesome. Probably the most enjoyable set I've ever built.

I have the Discovery Shuttle (and the rest of the series). Nice and rare :-)
