I have up to £50 to spend on a mouse, was originally looking at a boomslang CE2007 but now the budget's gone up and I'm looking at either a Kone V2, CM Sentinel, DeathAdder Respawn or a Sidewinder X8, although I think I remember hearing something about poor tracking with the Sidewinder on cloth mousepads?

Any other suggestions/ideas?

PS I don't like the Logitech mice, I have an MX518 at the moment but it doesn't have any real special feel to it, and the Avago 9500 in the G500 and CM Storm are only offset for me by the CM Storm's customisation which the G500 lacks.

Might I suggest one of the Razer Range, I've used them multiple times and I absolutely love one, and will be getting one myself soon as steam is released on Mac, therefore I will be gaming on my iMac :D

Hope this helps!

Going by your sig, weren't you the guy who was asking about mice a couple of weeks ago? The overwhelming response as I recall was the mx518..So did you either buy one and decide you don't like, or just telling us you already have one to avoid the thread being spammed with 'MX518!!!! ITZ THE BEZT!' ;)

..Or have I just got the wrong person heh

^ This mouse is very good mate. My mate bought it and its very responsive and good for surfing the internet too.

yes it's me, I "inherited" the Mx518 from the same guy i bought another bunch of stuff from, he didn't have any use for it so I tried it out, still looks too much like a normal outsider's (i kid, I kid) mouse, just too normal looking and I feel I need a bit more DPi for CS and other FPS's.

xJcBx thanks for the tips, I already said I'm considering a DeathAdder Respawn 3.5G.

lol I enjoy the mouse but the 1st-gen's 1600Dpi just doesn't feel like enough for some reason (starts pixel hopping before I'm comfortable with the sensitivity), and shelling out another £25 for a mouse which looks exactly the same as the one I have at the moment seems a bit pointless, and given I don't really like the look of the MX518 I don't think there's really any reason to do so?

Any opinion on the mice i've said I'm considering?

having gone through many mice, including microsoft, logitech and razer, i would recommend razer.

i plan to get the deathadder myself at some point, but the left handed version that i want isn't currently in stock

lol

still no real opinions from this thread for some reason, I was told to bump up the budget for the Kone when asking before so I guess I'll go with that?

Another vote for the Deathadder.

The most natural and best tracking mouse (for reasonable money) that i have ever used.

P.S: I've also used the Steelseries Xai which has a few more control options than the Razer. It's not quite as natural feeling but is still very nice albeit a touch over your budget.
