I love Lego!

I have one of the new NXT kits and my creation is sitting on top of my wardrobe staring at me accusingly for not programming it to actually do anything... :o

As my friend predicted when I talked about getting one, we do a lot of programming assignments for our course and I never really feel like kicking back and doing...more programming.

I got lego all over the place in here!

NXT is up there too.

And the Mars rover tech kit.

The solar system model was from "Build a solar system" magazine thing.

The shuttle was sourced in the USA, can't get it anymore :-(

I remember that, wish I would have bought it now as it looks awesome.

Gonna keep my eye out on ebay for one of those shuttles, any idea how much they are sell for?

I got it for £60, boxed brand new. They were a limited edition with the Discovery Channel. So gold dust now.

That was nearly 4 years ago.

Look for the technik lego one, I have that too. I do prefer the Deicovery one.

I used to love lego when I was small, I remember spending ages building a massive spaceship from lego... Only to come home and found my sister had smashed it up!

I love Lego! I use to have a BIG bucket full of them, passed down from my bigger cousins and all. I remember owning the basic police station, build the station, card, bike and had a few Lego men! Ahhh memories~

Now all I have is a bunch of Lego Stormtroopers for me to do photography with. Still, if a bargain comes along, I'd so buy a bucket load!

yep im 29 and love it.

BUT its not the same no more I remember back in the days :P that if I wanted to make an F1 car I had to put bits together to make the nose, wings etc now there all special molded parts its crap.

Dont get me wrong they look better but they aint got the lego feel/look no more its all special molded parts etc.

I just turned 28 and was bought a 3 in one lego set for my birthday, a helicopter, a boat and a biplane! best adult birthday ever!

Lego made me want to be an engineer! Best toy ever IMO

Shame my maths skills aren't great otherwise I probably would be doing some sort of engineering degree right now.

I've always had a theory that those kids who were great at lego, would make great engineers. Today's brats are brought up on sodding TV rather than things like Lego, Mechano, Robotix that would tax your mind.

Oh, I'm an engi (crap at maths, but I get by) too! :D

Love the stuff! 3 large boxes at the mum and dad's place that I wont let them sell. Plus a few boxes hidden away at home!

When I busted my knee up and could'nt walk for 6 months it was a life saver!

Used to have the 'Lego Grab Bag' which was a mahoosive blue 'draw string' sack that held about a tonne of Lego (mine was full), it would open out flat to make it easier to play then pack up!..

Sold it all at a Boot Sale when I was 18 :( Wish I'd kept it!...

Still gonna be (hopefully) staring a family soon!!.. so that gives me an excuse to buy loads more!!.. Even if its a girl!!.. Lego, Mecano, Scalextrics, Hornby/Bachman 00 guage railway, Radio controlled Cars etc.... Might even let her play (if she's good!!) :D

Lego is great......

My gf got me a Lego 1:10 scale Formula one Ferrari for my birthday a few years ago....

http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=8386 - the detail of the model is amazing and took me a few days (which I loved every minute of) to build..

didn't think she'd ever top that, however she did.. Last year I got this -

http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=10179 - and this is a thing of dreams. The number of parts and the time it took to build was IMO epic...!!

Lego is fantastic, and I'm hoping my gf continues to buy me lego for my birthday for the rest of my life... lol
