Does the devil/satan exist?

The devils greatest trick was to make people believe he doesnt exist.

Therefore based on the evidence in this thread he must exist.

I've never seen him, thats evidence enough for me, I don't believe in any thing that I can't see or touch.

I'm wasn't adamant (adam ant)lol it was a tounge in cheek statment hence the smily's that you took far too literally :D
 
The Devil is an angel who disobeyed God and was banished to Hell. His sole purpose is to distract, mislead, and deviate humankind from following God, thereby following him.

Do you not believe in the oxygen you breathe? or the data signals that bring the internet to your home? or any number of things that you cannot touch or see, yet exist regardless.

Op makes no sense.
Devil is part of the God system. Devil worshippers still Believe in a GOD. Just that God is wrong and that the devil is right in what he is saying. Think of it like a power struggle between God and Satan. Satan has accused God of x,y,z
 
I read something years ago about satanic carnivals in Asia somewhere - they pierce themselves with staves through the cheeks and claim to do all this mad stuff! I read a book about some guy who had encountered a lot of this stuff first hand. I think it is definitely a dangerous thing to get into and so think that there is definitely something behind it.

Where do devil worshippers get their info from? They obviously don't believe the Bible?

The answer to this sort of remark is that I can measure oxygen (and nitrogen etc), examine data signals etc but the one thing that cannot be measured, observed or quantified is God. Believers see this as the true test of their worth as they operate on faith; non-believers see it as the proof that no diety exists. And n'er the twain shall meet.

No, are you sure? If you attribute the evil that men do to Satan or his equivalent then Satan is quantifiable and measurable. The poster said he doesn't beleive in ANYTHING he cannot see or touch, he mentioned nothing about measuring or any esoteric form of quanta.

The very fact that Oxygen exists can be seen as proof of a God, can you explain why particles have mass?, or why we have a sense of self? and so on.

I was just pointing out the fallacy of the original statement.

No - the devils 'job' in religion is to instill fear in people so they dont do naughty things - if they dont believe in the devil then they have nothing to fear hence they do naughty things and hell fills up quicker...
