No - the devils 'job' in religion is to instill fear in people so they dont do naughty things - if they dont believe in the devil then they have nothing to fear hence they do naughty things and hell fills up quicker...

Hell is only really in the catholic arms of Christianity.
Satan was an angel which was thrown out for disagreeing with God, basically saying he isn't good enough to govern.
