This plus say an implanted RFID chip in your arm or something, so that if you want to talk privately to someone, you just touch the area with the chips near each other.

All very well. But surely people in 'pubs and clubs' don't talk to each other anyway. Even if they meet up, they're wanting to talk on their phones all night. Or rearrange their MP3 collection. But not talk to anyone in the immediate vicinity.
