Just for info. OcUK server not found when searching (yep I did use the little 'c') and have no filters on. Still greyed out in my favourites.

OcUK Server #2 is there though :confused:

Even better, it works on people. It's a fun pastime tracering dudes who camp ontop of the ship at atacama and then sending rpgs at their face. They dance to the side expecting it to go flying by, but noooooooo :D

Haha, i still remember the shock of tracering someone and getting points! Then just lock + launch straight up :p

So u wait for missle lock? I didn't know that.

I encountered what I believed to be my first hacker yesterday. "RandomFatGuy" (his name even hints that he wishes to blend in because he's using hacks). First I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he was reloading a sniper rifle and then headshot me turning 45degrees while I was moving in with a 40mm shotgun.

Then I hid in a little guard hut for about 30 seconds when the 2 bases had been taken but he was camping next to a wall looking at my position about 100m away. I had a 4x scope on an assault rifle and opened up, he took 1 shot then ran behind a post and strafed out and second shot killed me. Probably the first shot would have got me before that latest patch.

I said something in chat, and he started saying the circumstances were different, so then I asked him straight out if he was hacking.

I got him once with a knife and he complained about "sound bug", saying u can't hear from behind.

Basically you just add the following two lines to settings.ini and gamesettings.ini

SettingsManager.floatSet GSDefaultLatencyCompensation 0.0450000
SettingsManager.U32Set GSInterpolationTime 45

Because BC2 tries to compensate for lag by moving the hitboxes for your opposition around and currently the games method of identifying your ping is rubbish (My scoreboard says 150ms on multiplay.co.uk servers - when it clearly isn't) that's why people have such a hard time killing people.

The above forces the game to think you have a 45ms ping (I set mine to 40) and hence the hitboxes are no longer in gay places. Since adding this to my ini files I've noticed a HUGE jump in my hit reg.

I've just edited this, just about to try it out.

Did u know that u can edit field of view? I have mine set to 90 instead of the default 65 or 75; give a fisheye effect where the corners look like a reflection from a concave mirror.

Yeah, once tracer is placed hover your crosshairs over the red box until it shows a distance then launch :)

Its funny the ammount of hackers who almost admit they are hacking. And seeing them instantly pivot 180 degrees on killcam. I mean **** ***!
 
Bumped into my first aimbotter today, the guy wasnt even trying to hide it and just openly boasting. Quick google of his username shows that people have been banning him from servers for the last month so I guess punkbuster is a way behind :( Ah well, I guess it was only a matter of time...

Yea I've got my fov at 80. I think the default is something stupid like 55 but BC2 calculates the FOV weird... mebbe?
 
The FOV value in the config is the vertical fov apparently, there was an online calculator posted ages ago for it

I'm using 65 on my 1680*1050 screen and it looks fine
 
Update to the Gossamer BC2 Launcher - this is a great little app which allows u to adjust FOV, Bloom and other settings without needing to fiddle in the settings.ini file and can be used to launch the game, just make sure it points to ur BC2 updater shortcut.

Look at the achievements for combat medals, there are new achievements for "SPECACT" which is part of the new DLC that they have on the xbox already. I made a thread about the fact that with the USA Dr.Pepper promotion u could get the download content from a code printed on the lid of the bottle.

IF you play on a streamed or PBBans server he'll be banned
 
Every server i go in, whenever someone get's killed, people seem to always assume it's a hack and end up venting about it in chat/
