do all women make there kids homo?

So you're saying use it weekly and you'll be fine, use it daily and you'll end up looking like a shrivelled prune?

What i'm trying to point out is that constant use (ie an application every day/every other day) to apparently keep your skin healthy and wrinkle free will generally lead you to look like you have the face the same style as a rhinos backside. Yes it may look soft and not have many small wrinkles but it will look like you've had a really bad facelift.

It's also funny, in all those adverts for those sort of products they always have the "CAN help your face look healthier". Can being the operative word here, there is very little evidence to prove it.

Anyway, the original thread was talking about makeup, not having long term healthy skin.

You use a makeup and moisturiser mix, nothing wrong with that, doesn't mean everyone else wants to or should, or that all women would want men to wear it.

I moisturise, trim my pyebs (and sometimes chest), I listen to Belinda Carlisle, floss my teeth, and do a multitude of other things that would probably be deemed "gay" by those people who rate themselves more alpha than me. Oh I've also whipped the eyeliner out when the lads and I have gone out in town in drag for the grin! (oh the shame!)

On the flip side though; I like fast cars, drinking and football. I press a decent weight in the gym, I'm tall, I serve in the forces and I have romanced more hot ladies than you have eaten Sunday roasts.

I wouldn't worry about such trivial details and perhaps worry yourself more with getting to know your step son more because it is clear you don't know him that well at all. I also believe taht if you try force people to be a certain way they will probably work against the grain and turn out the complete opposite of what you intended. So perhaps lay off judging him and his mother ya?

No I'm saying intelligent use of the correct, scientifically proven products can, but not using over-the-top caked on foundation, eye liner and what not. Using an SPF Moisturiser with added Vitamin B and C IS going to help your skin age less, but using a combined product that has both SPF, "vitamins" AND a slight tinted foundation product within it is not going to cause any detriment to your skin in the long term. It will help.

Exactly. Constant use of cosmetics can be bad. Many different products are aimed at making a huge difference in the there and then appearance of your face. Foundation, on their own as a single product, not the combination products that I am advocating, are generally bad for your skin in the long term.

Of course, the media is always like that. You know, it's good looking women/men that benefit the most from cosmetics. If your ugly because of bad bone structure, eyes, hair or whatever, you generally still look nearly as bad with the product on. And yes, a lot of cosmetics, like I said, aren't good for the long term. The media is the same with everything, even "health" foods. You have to use your brain and know what's in the products you are buying if you really care about yourself. There are a few cosmetic products out there that are good. Like Aloe Vera Tinted Moisturiser combinations or Sweet Gale. They tend to be by small companies not like Nivea etc. They aren't OTT.

Yes, it was. I did admit to going of tangent in my orignal response. My stance still remains that it is not necessarily homosexual for a male to use make-up. There can be many reasons that it would be good to use it, and I have outlined at least one.

Exactly, nothing wrong with using products you have well researched. Not everyone will, mainly because of the "image" that is perceived of men using "cosmetic" products. Yeah they may be cosmetic, but they can also be health products if used properly.

Either way, if using products like oil of Olay makes your skin look like that of the people advertising them then i'm not going near it. :p

I'm not adverse to the occasional use of moisturiser if you have dry skin but the constant use I really see no reason for. To me it's a bit like taking paracetamol, just in case you are going to get a headache..

Yeah, generally speaking you are right. There is not actual NEED to use moisturiser unless you have dry skin. Whilst the difference in a nutritionally healthy persons skin is not going to be noticeably changed THAT MUCH in the long run - i.e. reduced ageing - it will have at least a small benefit. Plus you get the added benefit of evening out your skin's appearance in the present.

So, yeah, why not if you want to.

But this is why when I hit 50 I'm going to be a fit mofo. Whereas you will be drained, drawn and dying :P

Sorry, what's your number?:D:D

From a female perspective, I'd be slightly bemused if my date turned up wearing make up. I prefer my guys to look like guys and act like guys but that doesn't mean that he shouldn't take care of his appearance but makeup will always be a female thing to me.

Tinted moisturiser is not the same as foundation. The latter is designed to be a cover up for imperfections and create a flawless look. The first is purely to provide a slight golden hue whilst moisturising so not really sure why everyone is arguing over that but hey ho.

Dont be ridiculous, half these posts are swamped in stupid nonsence, i would do all of those things and I have no attraction to males, apart from being abit inapropriate with close friends im as straight as you get.
