Hey just got some Wharfdale SVP X15's. I got an amp with them both also. I have no idea where to put the cables, I'm connecting it to my PC via amp and a red and white with a jack on the end to fit a headphone socket.

These are cables I got:

These are the connectors at the back of the speaker:

Just wondering what goes where? Keep in mind I'm connecting red & white with a jack into my PC.

Thanks a lot.

The chunky end goes into the socket that the arrow is pointing into, and the jack end will go into the jack port on the output section. The connections on the left look like inputs and the ones towards the middle are outputs (where the speakers are connected to).

Hope this helps!

Got it in exactly how you said with my red and whites (from the only red and white port on the amp) to my PC (the red & white has jack on end). Still get no sound from them when i play a track. Also tried in my midi controller and get no sound. Is there a certain knack to putting the chunky end into the speaker?

Edit: what sensiticity should i have on voltage wise? Can have 0.775V, 1.0V or 1.44V.

Just to test if the amp & speakers are working do what Maccy says and get a phono/jack lead and put it into the red & white inputs.
Turn the volume down low and start touching the other ends of the phono lead to see if you can hear a crackling noise coming out of the speakers (you won't hurt yourself).
If you can hear crackling then they are OK.

You should connect them to dedicated speaker outputs on your PC but you should still hear something out of the headphone socket but turn it down low first (headphone output can overdrive the amp if up too loud).

Have you got the big blue plug in the speakers correctly?
My bass player had a habit of putting them in upside down.

Hah never had the cables in right, you have to twist it when you put it in and i never. Working great now, thanks a lot! :D:D

Could be a dodgy RCA to jack cable? Is there a volume control on the amp or are you controlling it from the PC?
