Team Fortress 2 - God! It just seems so dull now...

When Team Fortress 2 came out I played it a lot! I'd fit in a good few sessions a week... And this went of for years...

Then L4D came out, and that became my game of choice... And for some reason I just didn't go back to TF2.

I tried TF2 last night, and just found it dull. It just seemed like two meat grinders in a head on clash seeing which one could do the most damage to the other... After a few tens of minutes I couldn't take it any more...

Strange how your mindset can change over a couple of years. I used to be nigh on addicted to TF2, and now (seemingly) can't stand it...

I haven't played it now in a while but probably will get back to it during the Summer whenever the engineer update comes out. I think it really depends on the server you're playing on and whether there's a modicum of team work happening. I generally get a bit of a rush from L4D when everything is working out well as a result of good team work but in TF2 people are generally running around doing there own thing. It can be disheartening at times when people don't seem to realise they're meant to push the cart or capture a point and extremely annoying when people don't use their class properly. Still, I tend to lumber around as a heavy just blasting stuff so I can't really complain.

I'll give it another go, but I really was quite disheartened at how dull I found it...

Well there was a CS:S revival night last Sunday so maybe we could get a TF2 revival night going and that might rekindle your love for TF2 :D

LOL! Do I feel a group hug coming?

Looking back I used to love it (pre L4D)... Not sure why the bubble has burst now... :)

Still love it although haven't played it since my PC had a water incident. Slowly been building my latest sexy beast and still in need of RAM. I'd imagine TF2 will be the first game I'd fire up. Love love love playing an engineer.

Played it last night after not having played it for a long time, and really enjoyed it. Played two CTF maps - the sawmill and some new one I've not seen with a bridge going over the middle of the two bases and a lower area that you can enter the base through a pipe. Was good fun, although those bloody saws did my head in :) The game itself however, I still find it very good but I'm just finding L4D2 more fun which is probably why I've not been playing it.

Add this server to your favourites and play on it when it's full. Absolutely awesome bunch of guys and girls, only reason I load up TF2. You'll find me as althea vestrit on there practically every night.

yeah it really depends on the servers you connect to

theres a few public clan servers that are pretty good, usually they work properly as a team and actually try to win the round rather than just trying to get the most kills.

snipers i've found the most annoying, most of them just try to get a high kill count, and dont bother even trying to help out the team or stop the enemy snipers

I'd be up for that - I haven't played for a long while, but I put in many a late night with the Spy and Medic :)

This.

I don't enjoy TF2 that much when i'm playing on my own. Playing with my friends and people I know when we work together as a team it makes such a difference!!!

It got dull to me 2 weeks after release it's just too dependant on team balance. One team has a few bad players more or less players and you lose.

I play this game like its no man buisness lol Still love it. But i only play on 2 fave servers. And thats it.
