Have aliens hijacked Voyager 2 spacecraft

Yes, Aliens..

They want the probe back that magick stole.

Maybe not, but you're the only one dim enough to put a space in front of an exclamation mark. :p

Ahh hello paranoid schizophrenic, haven't seen you in a while

No, you're equally dim. What happened to correct punctuation in your second sentence? If you are going to pick holes in other people's posts, don't you think it might be an idea to make sure that yours are perfect? :p

we need jodie foster for first contact, then our coliation government can build a big spinning machine that a ball dropps through it into a worm hole. lmao

It's entirely possible that it has been tampered with by aliens, but it is also entirely possible that it has malfunctioned. To assume either while there is a lack of evidence to suggest either would be illogical.

that would be something Mr Spock would say, :p

Considering the size of Voyager and the size of our galaxy, let alone the universe... the likelihood of intelligent life finding it is pretty much zero. It probably collided with something or the on board thermal balancing equipment has finally given up the ghost so everything is running too cold corrupting the data.

If Stephen Hawking is to be believed, we're all pretty much ****** if alien life finds us, and starts ransacking the Earth's resources.

What surprises me, is that everyone thinks this is aliens, when this is clearly the work of Space Ghosts.

what would they want with earth? other than maybe killing us for fun, the only thing on earth thats not on most other planets is alien DNA ( to them ) i dont even think they could eat us...

If you have the tech and energy to travel the stars I cannot imagine you would even need slaves...

Well it is just broadcasting a powerful signal, might be a bit of a giveaway.

readily refined resources?

A breathable atmosphere making mining and resource collection much more easy?

Surely you'd notice the planet right next to it broadcasting millions of times more signals? :p

It would depend on your perspective wouldn't it? If you were positioned so that the probe was directly between you and the planet you probably wouldn't be able to see it with all the interference but if you were looking at it perpendicularly to the line from the probe to the planet then you probably could see it.

Though of course I'm no expert on electromagnetic waves and the interference of such.

As tefal said, Earth is relatively close (If we're talking interstellar distances) and projecting MUCH more radiation into space. They'd come here first. Add to that the fact that voyagers dish is pointed at us, and no where else, in order to keep the power requirements down, aliens would have to be in LOS with the Earth and Voyager
