At the weekend I'm going to be taking some wet and dry to my headlights to remove the haze and scratches. I need some advise on the polish to use to bring them back to a shine. I will likely be hand polishing.

Recomendations?

Beware that you will most likely remove the anti-scratch coating doing this. They will polish up ok afterwards, but as they are polycarbonate they will then scratch very, very easily.

This might be a stupid question but my rear lights are hazed and I really want to bring them back to life a bit more.....can the same products be used on those as the headlights?

...I'm scared that this is a really stupid question lol

Yes. That Meguires stuff that's linked to is the product that I'll be using on my MR2's rear clusters. People on IMOC have used it on their cars and vouch for it being good.

Awesome - thanks for the reply.

I'm going to spend some time detailing the elise this weekend ready for the good weather *crosses fingers* and I've never done rear clusters before!

Lots of people on the Clio forums have used wet and dry to great effect. Its just the polish they have used varies in each situation from SRP to Meguiars to (im not kidding) Mr Sheen...

Going to Halfrauds this weekend, see what I can pick up. Cant find that Meguires Plas-RX on their site tho, where else would I be able to pick some up?

Just a though, does anyone know where I can get that plastic masking tape stuff that car paint shops use when spraying? I need to mask around the lights so I dont scratch the paint when I sand but normal masking tape will get wet using the wet n dry, and electrical tape leaves residue.

Cheers
