First Crysis 2 Ingame Screenshots

No way those are console screenshots, maybe not max PC settings, but I very much doubt the xbox360/360 can do 1080p + AA and get anything near reasonable framerates.

I don't think there is much AA (if any), the jaggies are quite visible in places, though blurred. I think it's just an up-scaled screen capture.

Edit: hm the second shot does, though. wut :(

I think graphically it will be really quite good. However, what the gameplay will turn out like remains to be seen. I don't see it being a poor title, I'm sure a substantial and quite careful effort has gone in to this to make it an at least decent offering after the first benchmark, *cough* I mean game. :D

Although I have played crysis 1 on my PC I was not into PC gaming when it originally came out. What was it like at the time? I assume it blew everything else out of the water at the time but it must have been very frustrating not being to be able to turn on all the graphical bells and whistles!? Was there a machine that was capabable at the time of playing it at max settings?

lol @ everyone saying the screenshots are meh. The game is months and months and months away from release. Of course they're gonna be meh! :p

Screenshots never do a game justice, even the ones that are taken from the final game!

So far it looks interesting - never-ending jungle gets boring so it would be nice to have a change of scenery at some point, even if only for a short time. Take the final battle in the first game on the aircraft carrier, was a cool set-piece.

I am far, far more interested in storyline and content. Crysis and WARHEAD were a decent length [compared to the likes of MW and MWII for example!]. I think they can do a lot with the story as nothing was really resolved in the first game. You destroyed on big arse ship, of which there could be many more! I would trade fancy graphics for decent story any day.

From those screenies I arent too impressed at the moment.

I certainly hope the final version wows us like the first one did.

1080p and fairly decent quality textures, so I seriously doubt they are console screenshots. If they are I'll eat my own genitals.

Hard to pass overall judgement on gfx quality until I see it in motion.

sorry but screenshots are pointless IMO, i have taken many many screenshots in the first crysis with spectacular looking configs. and such, and the screenshots NEVER do it justice, it looks better in-game, moving about and such. so considering those are still screenshots, i would consider than impressive especially when you consider crysis brilliant motion blur and what not, its gonna be a massive winner if it runs similar/better than the original, could do with a decent FPS instead of MW2. my only concern (and its a huge one) is how developers are all being total horrors and going for online rather than good single player, MW2 was all about the online mode, don't get me wrong the single player was pretty good but lasted like what? fifteen minutes or something. hope crytek don't go down the same predictable, boring path and make the second more multiplayer orientated, give us a long, brutal and compelling campaign over crappy bunny hopper infested, grenade spamming online games!

Looks like the console version, especially considering that there has been videos of it running PC floating around since mid last year, which looked a lot better than this.

I must be the only one thinking that's it's looking great, considering the weak 5 year old hardware it's running on. The PC version would probably improve things on the visual department. I'm really not sure how much more visuals can improve. Real life is starting to look pretty dull and colourless comparing to the explosions of different colours on that screen you'll find with Crysis 2.

If that is the 360 version then it looks fantastic :D

I don't think Crysis 2 will have much of a wow factor compared to Crysis 1 as most other games have started to catch-up and their isn't going to be such a big leap forward as it's only in the past 6 months or so we have had cards capable at playing the original Crysis nicely :)

That is the 360 version. Funny reading the site that was linked from and seeing little kids bawling about how bad the 'PC' version is looking, when it says clearly that it's the 360 version of Crysis 2.

To be fair, I think everything's been done. Or rather, I cannot think of another setting to base these games in. Perhaps a bow and arrow/spear FPS based in ancient Egypt? That would be cool! :p
